Years Busy End... - 12/31/06 01:28 PM
I have ended the year with a bang.  I had an extremely busy last week of the year.  I showed property every day.  Listed a property, wrote an offer to purchase, and had a closing on Friday.  All and all I have had a very prosperous 2006 and look forward to a prosperous 2007. … (1 comments)

Reindeer - 12/23/06 01:16 PM
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grown antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December.  Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.  Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl .  We should've known...Ony women would be able to drag a fat-assed man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.

End of Year Chores - 12/17/06 09:20 PM
It has been a busy week.  Not so much working with clients but starting on all those things that you put off until the end of the year.  Updating my files, making list of clients to mail out cards to, and making my plans for what I will be doing next year.  I don't like this time of year.  It is unbearable to go shopping for even the simplest chore.  The diminished sunlight takes my energy.  School is already dismissed until January 3.  It is too long of a vacation for this time of year.  I have much more work to … (0 comments)

Ever Changing Weather - 12/14/06 08:43 PM
What a difference a week makes.  Last Thurday it was snowing here.  School was cancelled on Friday and temperatures were frigid.  Yesterday was gorgeous and today my daughter played golf after school.  Mid 60's and it looks like the weatherman is promising more of the same into next week.  If you don't like todays weather just hang around three days and it will change.  Last week my gold fish pond was frozen.  Today they were frisky and begging for food.  At least we don't get stuck in a rut.  One day overcoats and long sleeves the nest sweater and short sleeves.  … (2 comments)

I have more time to spend on difficult files... - 12/10/06 08:48 PM
It has been a very busy week.  I am not getting the volume of phone calls that I was 6 months ago but I still have a hetic schedule.  I find myself spending more time on each transaction.  I am able to put the time into some more difficult files and help people get the homes that they want and deserve.  I have a nice man that I am trying to keep out of foreclosure.  I have a buyer for his home but the prepayment penalty is causing a major problem.  I am working on getting approval from the bank to … (0 comments)

Cold Weather and Remodeling... - 12/05/06 10:00 PM
My office has been busy doing lots of remodeling which is good, but the negatives is the time and interruptions that it takes away from your work.  Today the noise and smells were not the problem it was the cold weather.  Doors were open to accomodate the lumber coming and going and I find the cold to be the worst.  Here on the Plateau we usually have very moderate weather, but the last few days we have been hit with a artic blast that chills your bones.  I don't spend much time in the office because you can't make any money … (0 comments)
