I Once Was Lost... But Now I'm Certified - 03/29/10 06:57 PM
I Once Was Lost... But Now I'm Certified
All this time I've been calling myself a Short Sales & Foreclosure Specialist based upon my experience and hands on knowledge.  I was unaware until recently that The National Association of REALTORS® has a course certifying you a Short Sales & Foreclosure Specialist!   So I figured... since I've been wearing the title...might as well take the course.

So, I wanted to announce... That on March 28, 2010, The National Association of REALTORS® certifies that, I, Vienna Bello, have successfully completed REBAC's Short Sales and Foreclosures: What Real Estate Professionals Need to Know Course.

$19 Parking In Hoboken... For 10 Minutes... AND HE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT!!!! - 03/27/10 08:25 PM
$19 Parking In Hoboken... For 10 Minutes... AND HE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT!!!!
If you're from the area, most of us have already heard the sad news.  One of Hoboken's landmarks, Barnes & Noble, is closing it's doors on March 31, 2010.  Which of course means HUGE discounts on books!  SO... I decided to stop in this afternoon and see what was left.
If you've been to our Mile Square town of Hoboken, you know available parking spaces do not exist.  Barnes & Noble has always done a 'noble' thing by validating your parking ticket if you park in the lot next door … (2 comments)

UPDATE: Tickets To See Joel Osteen - 03/20/10 03:39 PM
For those of you who read my post a few weeks ago:
http://activerain.com/blogsview/1532637/tickets-to-see-joel-osteen
I finally went to see Joel Osteen last night!  It was amazing.  I've wanted to see him LIVE for so long.  It was everything I expected and more.  He is truly an inspiration.  He has such a good sense of humor and gives off such a personal feel.  You can really relate to him.
If you've never listened to him preach, I recommend you do just once.  I've read his books and I've been following him for years.  Truly uplifting.
God bless!

The Real Estate Agent ~ A Dying Breed - 03/09/10 10:37 AM
According to the National Association of Realtors, 40% of our marketplace will be FSBO in 2010.
What does this do to the existence of the Real Estate Agent?  With so many internet marketing tools and websites such as FSBO.com and SellYourHome.com and and blahblahblah.com, who needs a REALTOR...right??
A homeowner trying to sell their own home is like running across a highway blindfolded.  Sure you can make it to the other side, but what happens if you run into a truck?  And there are lots of 'trucks' to avoid on the FSBO highway.  For example, one truck driver to watch out … (11 comments)

Sybil's Cave ~ 30ft Cave In Our Mile Square ~ Hoboken History - 03/06/10 10:46 PM
Joggers, bicyclists, dog walkers and those waiting impatiently for a parking space on Sinatra Drive in Hoboken between 8th & 9th streets are clueless to the history that lies beneath.  Sealed shut in July 2007, the 30ft deep 'Sybil's Cave' was once a retreat to wealthy New Yorkers and thirsty hikers who drank from the fresh spring located inside during the 19th century.  Paying a penny a glass, an outrageous amount during that time, for what was believed to contain medicinal benefits.
In the late 1880's, the Board of Health declared the cave's spring water "unfit for human consumption".  After this, a tavern was … (2 comments)

If You Won The Mega Millions... Would You Still Sell Real Estate? - 03/02/10 12:22 PM
Just a thought...
If you won the Mega Millions Jackpot tonight, would you continue to sell real estate?
I love what I do.  I love to meet new people.  I love to help new young couples buy their first home.  Every time I do, the energy and aura of excitement they express makes me feel as if I am buying the house!
I love the challenge of convincing a FSBO or a FRBO why I am the best agent for the job.  Even though I've been hung up on hundreds of times, it's never discouraged me.  I can't wait to call and … (2 comments)
