BlackBerry vs. Droid I've had the BlackBerry Storm for over a year and absolutely loved it. I thought I couldn't live without it. When it broke on me a few days ago, I was completely devastated. I went to Verizon all set to upgrade to the Storm2 until I noticed the crowd around the Droid display. As a fairly new agent, I was suckered in by the sales pitch "All the real estate agents around here are going with the Droid." Plus, I was told I could get on the MLS with it... Maybe some, but not mine. Unless I'm doing something (17 comments)

August 2010 Newsletter | Hudson County New Jersey Hello Again Friends & Neighbors: I'm hoping this letter finds you all happy, healthy & blessed. If you haven't heard yet, there is some exciting news in Real Estate. The First Time Home Buyer tax credit closing deadline has been extended to September 30th of this year. For those of you who haven't been able to close on time (probably short sales!), this is great news... so get moving! Interest rates are at an all time low. Can I Afford To Buy A House?Now that you have made the decision to buy, it is important to figure out what you can buy. Lenders will look at your current budget (income, assets, and debts), and how much you would like to down pay and calculate two ratios to determine how much they are willing to lend. The first ratio sets a limit on what they think you can spend on housing. For example, a 28% housing ratio means your projected housing cost should be less than 28% of your gross monthly income.
