The Panda Garden Restaurant - Great Places to Eat in Mesquite Nevada

Deciding which restaurant to go to dinner in Mesquite?  Can't decide between Chinese or Japanese food for dinner?  Hunan Chicken or Beef Teriyaki?  Egg Roll or California Roll?

Well, the argument is over - let's go to the Panda Garden!  That's right - they now have both Chinese and Japanese food - it's like 2 restaurants in one!  It is at 10 E Mesquite Blvd - 702 346-3028

The building is simply beautiful - the front is surrounded by a rock garden which looks just like a river bed trickling down from the rock waterfall.  It really looks like an oasis in the desert with the palm trees in the background, but I never stand there long enough to enjoy it - just can't wait to get in and stuff myself.

The Panda Garden has a full cocktail and wine bar.  If you get caught in the dinner rush you can order your favorite drink, glass of wine or Saki - by the time you have finished it, you will be seated - the service is terrific. And Sushi lovers.....the Panda now has a Sushi Bar!

The banquet room has a lovely atmosphere and is large enough to accomodate a large private party or well, a banquet!  You can order for the whole group or each can order separately from the menu.

They serve a green salad with an amazing ginger spiced dressing which just makes me even hungrier.  The combination Egg Fu-Yung is the best I have ever had - heaped with vegetables and shrimp, chicken and beef.  If it is lunch time, try my favorite - the Seafood and Vegetable Tempura, which also comes with California rolls and pot stickers.

The servings are large - I always have to (get to) take some home for later - which makes me very happy!

Walking Trails in Mesquite Nevada - Things to do in Mesquite

Not everyone likes to golf in Mesquite or try to get lucky at one of our 4 casinos.  One way to enjoy our area is to just take a walk!  We have miles of trails around  Mesquite - if you have the energy, you can walk from one end of town to the other!

In the summer it gets pretty hot here and you might not want to be out - but is so nice once that sizzling sun goes down.  That would be a great time to go down to the Virgin River Trail at the south end of Mesquite.

The trail is completely paved  with streetlights that come on at dusk so that you can walk it 24 hours a day.  It is wheelchair accessible so that anyone can enjoy it.  Sometimes you will see a mom pushing a toddler in a stroller - sometimes a healthy looking senior citizen at a brisk walk.  You might see whole families walking the trail on the way to one of our many parks for a picnic.

One of the nicest times to walk the trail is early morning - even in the summer heat.  As the sun comes up the southern mountains turn shades of blue and pink with the morning sun light.

Dogs are allowed on a leash on all of our trails - just remember to pick up after them!
 
The River Trail is only a couple of miles from the center of Mesquite - bring your lunch to the park - you will still have time for a pleasant outdoor break from work with a walk along the Virgin River.

Sun City Mesquite Recreation Center - Mesquite Nevada Real Estate

Pulte Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite's 30,000 sq ft, state of the art Recreation Center was built at a cost of $18 million. The Recreation Center is open 365 days a year.  It opened last November, is included in the HOA fees, and is for Sun City Mesquite residents and their guests only.

Gary Pranks designed the Conestoga golf course for Pulte Del Webb. The golf course was named for the Conestoga wagons that carried the first settlers to the area.  This 18-hole golf course in Sun City Mesquite will be a public course with no membership fees and not included in the HOA fees.  Sun City Mesquite residents do get special golf rates and preferential tee times.

Homes are available for quick close with special new home incentives for anyone who doesn't want to wait.

Sun City Mesquite is starting to build spec homes and will be maintaining an existing inventory for NOW buyers.  Some homes will be completed and some will have inside choices of upgrades and appliance packages.

Mesquite NV The Springs Master Planned Community Neighborhood

Mesquite Nevada Relocation Welcome Pack Info - Retire or Relocate to Mesquite Nv

As a real estate agent in Mesquite Nevada with Mesquite GMAC Real Estate and a member of Mesquite Chamber of Commerce, I have helped many people buy a home and relocate to Mesquite.  Every one has questions and you will have even more after you move here.  I hope this answers most of them for you!  If you have a question, leave a comment below - I will get the answer for you and add it here.  Or just call me!

Mesquite NV is a small town of about 20,000 people - it doesn’t seem like even that many live here - we have quite a few people who buy a 2nd home in Mesquite and aren’t even here that much.  Many of them will eventually end up selling their first home somewhere and making a full move to Mesquite.

Visit our own Mesquite Chamber of Commerce website for a start.  Many business people, like myself, are a member.  If you are in town, stop by the Chamber.  Everyone there is super friendly and helpful and they have brochures, newsletters, even postcards that you can send home.

Our Mesquite city has it’s own website with lots of useful information for you, including the major employers.  Mesquite is pro-growth and the fastest-growing city in Nevada.

And if you want local news, you can access Mesquite Local online newspaper from any computer!

Right here in Mesquite is Mesa View Regional Hospital, a full service hospital - with Inpatient Acute Care services, outpatient surgery and diagnostics, and a 24/7 Emergency Room.

Mesquite has miles and miles of  Walking Trails throughout the city.  You can walk or bike along golf courses, scenic desert bluffs or my favorite - the walking trail along the Virgin River, which runs through Mesquite.  It has a paved walkway with lights that come on at dusk, and you can wander off and make your own trail!  Take your dog, if you have one, but be sure to pick up after him.

We currently have 4 casino hotels here in Mesquite.  They all have very well priced Mesquite golf packages that include golf at one or more of our golf courses and staying in one of the hotels.

That is a great way to get a golf getaway package at a good price - play golf in the daytime and play in the casino in the evening.

You might choose a package that has 3 days of golf on 3 different golfcourses and 3 nights at a hotel.  Don’t stay out too late - you will want to get an early tee time, especially in the summer - it is HOT here.

Besides our casinos for 'recreation', we have 6 gorgeous golf courses in Mesquite, including the famous Wolf Creek Golf Course, rated by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 courses in the U.S. and the Palmer Golf Course, home of the Big Break.

Mesquite Bus Company has a shuttle to and from the Las Vegas Airport with several depart/arrive times for your convenience.  Make a reservation and choose round-trip or one-way if you decide to just stay forever!

Our state of the art Mesquite City Recreation Center is something you would see in a much larger city.

The Mesquite Recreation Center is for families and singles with programs, classes and activities for young and not-so-young.  Annual or monthly passes are available to residents of Mesquite.

You can even play basketball on the air conditioned indoor court and wait till you see the indoor and outdoor pools!

The outside pool is my grandkid's favorite place to go when they visit in the summer.  There is also a smaller shallow pool for the almost swimmers and covered picnic areas to get out of the sun and heat.

Speaking of Mesquite weather, yes we have some beautiful weather here.  Sunny and ‘golfable’ almost everyday!

Utilities are very reasonable here - Mesquite is all electric, no gas and we are on Overton Power - the rates are quite a bit lower than Las Vegas.  Mesquite water is our own and very inexpensive, from aquifers under the area.  You will see water towers all around Mesquite.  Even with all of the growth, we currently do not have to ration water like some areas of Clark County do.  Cable TV is available or DSL from local carriers.

Annual Property Taxes in Mesquite NV and all of Clark County are approximately 1% of the purchase price of a home.

Mesquite Schools are in the Clark County School District.  Virgin Valley High School, Hughes Middle School, Virgin Valley Elementary School.  Bus service to and from the school is provided for the kids.

Seniors - Mesquite is an active adult kind of town with a wonderful Senior Center - if you are not interested in going to a casino or playing golf, the city of Mesquite sponsors activities and programs just for seniors.

We have several active adult community subdivisions for 55 plus residents and second home owners.

Speaking of active adult communities in Mesquite - Pulte Del Webb brought Sun City Mesquite to us last year -   With a large selection of floor plans and very reasonable prices, it is the best selling Del Webb community in Nevada and the best selling new home subdivision in Mesquite.

The Sun City Mesquite Recreation Center is amazing, with a beautiful indoor pool which is open year round and a huge outdoor swimming pool and spa that overlooks their Conestoga Golf Course.

Membership to the Rec Center with fitness center, billiards room, putting greens, tennis courts  and activitiesis included with their HOA monthly fee. 

Residents in Sun City also get a discount and preferred tee times at the Conestoga Golf course which is still in construction.

Mesquite has several gated communities on the golf courses - homes right on the golf course, some with views of the courses and some with beautiful views of Mesquite and the mountains.  Copper Bluffs has some of the lowest priced homes in a gated community with membership priveledges at the Oasis Golf Club.

Showing Property to Buyers - Use Google Maps FASTEST Roundtrip Solver - It is one of  the Google Map features - but it is FAST!

Input up to 10 addresses - just the street address + zip code.

   The first address that you input is the start and end.

   I can’t imagine showing more than 10 properties at one appointment, but if you do….

   After you submit and get your map and directions, you can add more.

Then print it -

   Take it with you - use it to show your buyer where the property is located.

   Give it to your buyer  -  keeps them focused on the property location.

Save it for later - if you are doing your homework ahead of time and don’t have your printer handy.

Email it to your buyer -

   This is really good if you want to give an out of town buyer a preview of where you taking them.

Use it for a drive-by tour -

   Sometimes I email some MLS listings - input the addresses and send this map with it.

Did I notice that he was a Newbie?  NO.

Later, I got a comment notification, went back to the post and noticed HOW RUDE I WAS TO AN UNSUSPECTING NEWBIE who didn't know the rules yet.

Just who do I think I am, anyway?  It wasn’t even my business!

I emailed an apology to him, he graciously replied, we ‘talked’ back and forth…..

…..What a nice guy!  And he knows his stuff!
