Tapping the Foreign Market - 01/12/08 10:03 PM
It occured to me a few weeks ago that the strength of the NYC market is largely attributed to the foreign market.  My market is 35 minutes north of this same market.  So I decided to start tapping that market.  I've been searching out foreign search directories to post my site on and finding some good ones.  My hits are up  and my point proved whend just after a few days I got a call from a foreigner looking at land to just buy and hold.  I'd like to know from those of you who think like me, what you are doing … (4 comments)

Some Interesting 2007 Numbers - 01/02/08 10:41 AM
1.    BIG vs. SMALL - Small-caps have beaten large-caps in 7 of the last 8 years (1999-2006) on a total return basis, but will not likely win the battle in 2007.  As of last Thursday, small-caps (using the Russell 2000) were down 0.6% YTD (total return) while large-caps were up +6.1% (using the S&P 500).  The Russell 2000 index is an unmanaged index of small-cap securities which generally involve greater risks.  The S&P 500 is an unmanaged index of 500 widely held stocks that is generally considered representative of the US stock market (source: Russell, S&P).
