scams: BOZO Alert - CashOffers.com - 05/28/14 08:55 AM
Whenever a child is kidnapped, we have an AMBER Alert.  When a scam is found, I created a similar system called BOZO Alert.
It works like this. Read this and judge for yourself. If you feel as I do, then copy this link and post it to Facebook and Twitter.  Inform as many people as you can.
Marketing Bozos can hurt people. So the more information we can tell people about them and warn them in advance -- we teach them how to spot the Bozos before they can do their damage.

scams: SEO FAIL: Even Indian Companies Resort to Lies to Get Ahead Now - 04/24/14 05:34 AM
If you've been following my blog, or read either of my first two books -- then you'll know I don't like to sugar coat or white wash anything.  While some people might call this being a bit "abrasive," I simply call it like it is.
Because if looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck -- right?  The same thing applies to marketing bozos and over-promising clowns.
I run two companies in addition to my Tony Robbins master consulting training.  While I'm currently being groomed by my existing coach … (4 comments)

scams: Marketing Bozo Alert: Nowyo.com Must Die. I need Your Help. - 07/18/12 09:09 AM
Another SPAM in my mailbox. It never stops.
SPAM is like cockroaches! Even with the best insecticide and my old, beat-up pointed Tony Llama boots, I can never seem to kill them all. It's soooo frustrating!
This arrived in my mailbox today. And I keep getting them/ 5 to 12 of these a week.
I've had enough.

Note the obvious issues with this email.
1.) It's crapily formatted. Big give-a-way here.
2.) The email SAYS: it's from contact@webdesigninfortworth.com and someone named "John" but NO last name. Hmmmmm.
3.) Unsubscribe is from yet another email:  http://webdevelopmentincincinnati.com... blah blah blah

scams: Twitter Money Opportunities? NOPE! - 07/24/09 09:29 AM
***** Shark Alert. Shark Alert. ******
Just when you finally get signed up with Twitter, along come the bozos, the sharks and cute women who want to lure unsuspecting men into their world of adult webcams.
This rant will cover the more sinister part of Twitter Scams.  The bozos who send you unsolicited emails from China, Bulgaria and Finland that tell you of the wonderous riches that can be made by working with ClickBank.com and Twitter.
Don't fall for this one. Don't even bother REGISTERING for this.
ClickBank.com is a firm that got a bad rap at not paying their affiliates … (2 comments)

scams: The Dark Side of Twitter. - 07/18/09 07:30 AM
There's a dark side of Twittering now.
Darth Twitter is out there creating multiple Twitter accounts with names that really don't make much sense.
Or in some case, the icons are too good looking to be true or sexually suggestive.

These "fake" accounts on Twitter are a lot like getting thousands of clicks on your Google AdWords or AdSense program.  Sure, tons of traffic can be gained but from one person or a small group of people. But this practice became known as ClickFraud and if you thought you'd make a lot of $$$ by clicking on someone's … (5 comments)

scams: NCO FedEx Collections Scam. You Owe $14.03 - 07/16/09 09:41 AM
Just when you think you've seen it all with scams, mail fraud and collections agencies... another bozo pops up.
We get a FedEx collections letter in the mail today from a firm calling themselves NCO Financial Systems, Inc.
They want  $14.03 and in big bold letters, use some pretty threatening language.
It seems such a small amount my first reaction was to get it paid. We must have forgot something.
Then I stop myself and I tell our front desk person to call FedEx.
FedEx has direct access to our bank and we get debited all the time. $14.03 not … (23 comments)

scams: Martha Stewart. Convicted Felon gives DMA Keynote? - 07/13/09 05:33 AM
Only in America can this kind of thing happen.
Martha Stweart, was convicted on all four (4) felony charges against her on March 5th, 2004.
The jury, as did many Americans who tuned in, REJECTED the notion that she had no inside involvement or direct knowledge in the ImClone stock fiasco.  We all know she lied.
REALTORS are sales and marketing professionals. Or at least, we should ALL try to become better at doing our jobs.
The DMA is the Direct Marketing Association and they too, have a large national trade show much like we do for REALTOR Expo, or Inman … (0 comments)
