Count your blessings with homeownership.  Even if caring for and maintaining a home may seem like a lot of work there are many reasons that homeownership is beneficial.
The most obvious blessing is you are building wealth.  Home equity is the largest single source of wealth for most Americans.
There have been studies that show that owning a home can actually make you healthier and your children happier.
By owning a home people have greater control and this inspires responsibility and this helps stabilize and strengthen communities.  It helps generate jobs.
