The Plainfield city architecture runs the gamut from ranches and cape cods to Victorians and classic colonials. A Plainfield house, regardless of architecture is representative of  a high quality housing stock. 
Located at the southern end of Union county, Plainfield, New Jersey was originally settled by the Quakers in 1684 and incorporated in 1869. Within the six square miles of  Plainfield are numerous 18th century buildings, many of them private residences.
