The FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival – WEF and the Adequan Global Dressage Festival are under way right now and will be hosting many events until March 30. Wellington- International Polo Season Starts the 11th Season. Enjoy Sunday afternoons watching championship polo right here in Wellington Florida. There are many polo games to watch on Saturdays and Sundays here in Wellington around the different polo fields. The international Polo club is located at 3667 120th Avenue South between Pearson and Lake Worth roads in Wellington. This year there will be several players who are high goalers. Almost Speechless Sunday- Practice Makes Perfect Getting ready for the big competition- this rider is practicing for the big payout day with her horse. Here in Wellington at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center riders get to practice in the same rings they will compete in. Special sand fills these rings that is easy on the horse's feet.
Saturday nights here in Wellington come alive with all kinds of equestrian fun and excitement. The Winter Equestrian Festival invites families, couples and singles out to Saturday Night Lights at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Wellington Dressage- Horses in Motion This weekend was full of great equestrian competitions around and near Wellington Florida. International Polo kicked off the season on Sunday and on Saturday we had the Classic Dressage Challenge. Well, it was also on Sunday but the only day we went was on Saturday.

Wellington Equestrian Style Baby Showers- Have you ever wondered how we celebrate the arrival of a new baby in the Equestrian Community of Wellington Florida? Our daughter in law is having a baby. This will be our third son's first baby- a baby girl. This son is a chef at White Horse Tavern. We have 3 chefs in our family! We had her baby shower at the White Horse Tavern in the Palm Beach Equestrian Center. We set the mother to be's comfy arm chair right next to this horse made out of shells. Right before the U.S. Open polo tournament in Wellington Florida was set to begin, one by one, these amazingly beautiful polo ponies began to fall to the ground one at a time. The spectators and owners ran on the field to try to help the horses to no avail. Each horse began to die while those around them pet them and talked to them until they took their last breath. There were over 100 people running to the aid of the ponies. Each pony had at least 3 to 5 people triaging.

There is a lot of action this year during the Wellington Equestrian season that is going strong and will last until the end of March for the main events of the Winter Equestrian Festival. You can go watch the show most weekdays for Free. There are the main events that you have to get tickets for but you can certainly see plenty of exciting equestrian events throughout the week.
