Everyone's looking for a deal these days, right?
This is a great list to help you figure out whether that "Deal" is really the bargain it's being portrayed as.  Often, the hassles, headaches, and cost of renovating a TLC home are higher than what it would cost to buy a ready-to-move home instead!   But you can often find those cosmetic bargains that just need a little love. 
For the true DIY'er who does really want to get down and dirty, keep in mind the functional aspects - rooms, location, etc.  Add that to your elbow grease and you'll have a diamond!

Sadly, even though we can't choose our neighbors, their actions or lack of actions can have a fairly large impact on your home selling. 
Whether it's the party-all-nighters who always have the street lined with cars during prime showing times on the weekend.  Or that neighbor with the yard full of broken down items, green pool, and large dogs that can make buyers who are in love walk out on the back deck and GASP in horror. 
And unfortunately, there's not much we can do with these neighbors beyond trying to make suggestions and talking it out.
