Judicial Shame A Reminder - 03/31/10 10:19 AM
Judicial Shame is A Reminder for home owners.
Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder died in Iraq in 2006!
A crackpot cult calling it self a church, interrupted his funeral to protest "gays" existence. (No one called Snyder gay only that he fought for our country that includes gays.) The local police refused to intervene, refused to allow Snyder's family to bury him in peace.
Snyder's farther sued, won a huge judgement, it was halved, then appealed. Snyder lost on appeal, it seems there is no right to bury your son in peace! Disgusting! It gets worse this same judge … (8 comments)

Things I Learned Along The way / Lies - 03/30/10 02:30 PM
Things I Learned Along The way / Lies come in three types each with two subtypes.
Things I Learned Along The way. We have to be tolerant, we have to be respectful until we know the reason for and the type of a lie.
Things I Learned Along The way / Lies. Some lies can even be admirable.
Things I Learned Along The way / Lies. Type one lies, deliberate. Deliberate lies come in two subtypes. The worst lies, the most harmful deliberate lies, are those intended for self gain. The other subtype is the most honorable of lies. The white lie, … (4 comments)

Things I've Learned Along The Way / Mistakes - 03/29/10 10:36 AM

Things I've Learned Along The Way / Mistakes happen! Most mistakes are correctable if admitted to as early as discovered! Most mistakes become entraining often down right funny in hind-sight!

Things I've Learned Along The Way / Mistakes. Be very forgiving of other's mistakes for your time is coming!
Things I've Learned Along The Way. I've made mistakes! The truth is Brenda allows me two preemptive mistakes a month and she lets them accrue! After 39 years together I've saved 627, I could be wrong once a day, everyday for almost two years. Thank God she doesn't count spelling … (8 comments)

Looking Forward Into A Rearview Mirror Wearing Two Hats, Guaranteed Incompetence Or The Only Way To Insure Competency - 03/28/10 07:07 PM
Looking Forward Into A Rear View Mirror Wearing Two Hats, Guaranteed Incompetence Or The Only Way To Insure Competency? This comes from an article I published three years ago this week. As the bubble burst.
A friend wrote me (a short three years ago.) "I would like to read your perspective on how fiduciary responsibility/conflict of interest may or may not exist." he was talking in regards to real estate agents also being loan originators.
I think he was very serious in his inquire, but by the repeated use of the "F*" word I have to wonder if he just wants … (8 comments)

A Great Day I Met The Man In College Station - 03/26/10 04:47 PM
A Great Day I Met The Man In College Station Brenda and I went to RE Bar Camp in Austin two weeks ago. We took a room because we intended to stay for the party, but then missed it. As planed we went exploring Friday taking 14 hours to get back to Houston compared to what took us less than 3 the day before.
When we arrived in Collage Station we looked up Trey Thurmond. We were lucky, Trey had time to talk with us and we spent a great hour together. Trey is indeed the Texas Gentleman, the stereotype we … (4 comments)

We All Have Our Limitations - 03/25/10 02:51 PM
We All Have Our Limitations mostly in our minds!

When you're told it can't be done
Do you accept the defeatist dabble?
We All Have Our Limitations

mostly in our minds!

When times get tough
do you give up?
We All Have Our Limitations

mostly in our minds!

When told this is how it's always been done
do you follow the leader?
We All Have Our Limitations

mostly in our minds!

When told what's allowed
do you research allowable?

What Are You Going To Do When They Come For You - 03/24/10 02:03 PM
What Are You Going To Do When They Come For You? Now that I see it in print, it looks like the opening for a TV show. But, it's much more serious. This week saw the biggest blow to our Constitution and our Liberties since secession and Lincoln's disregard of the Bill of Rights! Only the Civil War and our original sin (Allowing slavery!) rank as more disgraceful, more repugnant, and more destructive to all we thought we believed in!
Charlie Dingell ended all speculation Tuesday , 3-23-10, of the intent of this legislation it's the first step in "Controlling the … (16 comments)

Thoughts On Bar Camps - 03/22/10 02:49 PM
Thoughts On Bar Camps I went to my second Bar camp ten days ago in Austin. It was a good time and I got to take Brenda along! But, I'd like to share some my Thoughts On Bar Camps.
Venue is critical to getting maximum value! You must be able to hear yourself think and be able to hear the various speakers. If you can't split into separate rooms consider only holding one session at a time. Competing with an unrelated commercial trade is impossible.

There are four reasons to go to Bar camp: Education, Networking, Networking, and Networking! … (8 comments)

Life And Real Estate Seldom Involve Straight Lines - 03/14/10 07:42 PM
Life and real estate seldom involve straight lines!
A friend, Gary Woltal wrote: Straight Line Thinking Improves Accomplishment I respectfully disagree. Straight line thinking is a great place to start, but I fear to many people will use it as an excuse! If as there almost always is obstacles between you and your goal, if you can't go straight to your goal it's no excuse for not doing what you can.
To many people using "straight line thinking" look at the goal, see obstacles and decided it can't be done. "Straight line thinking" should always be the first consideration, but "there is … (12 comments)

I shed my box - 03/13/10 09:40 PM

I shed my box! The box didn't contain a cure or protect me, but rather held imaginary problems in!
The box contains common practice, but no common sense, the box contains business as usual, conformity for it's own sake, comfort in shared misery! I shed my box!
I shed my box! I cleared my head by by opening my mind to all that is possible for me.
By removing the box, I threw off the shackles of other peoples restrictions! Just because someone else can't do something doesn't mean I can't. It's a crime to imprison others, it's a sin to imprison … (6 comments)

Real Estate Signs In The Age Of Agency - 03/07/10 10:57 PM
Real Estate Signs In The Age Of Agency is it time for listing agents to rethink the traditional real estate sign?
If you've made the choice to be a listing agent as opposed to a buyer's agent or duel agent it is time to rethink your signs! Real estate signs sell allot more than the home where they are posted. Real estate signs generate calls from real estate buyers! Real Estate Signs In The Age Of Agency either waste allot of leads or violate your agency, even buyers that may want your listing will not be able to buy it from … (6 comments)

Go'in To Meeting - 03/03/10 02:24 PM
Go'in To Meeting, I know it sounds like a line from "Angle and The Badman." To me Go'in To Meeting/s was and is a way of life.
Go'in To Meeting is something we chose to do. Profiting by Go'in To Meeting is an additional choice! If your purpose is just to be seen, like so many on Sunday mornings just Go'in To Meeting is sufficient. But, if you want to profit from Go'in To Meeting weather it's socially, educationally, business wise, or religiously you need work at it. You're going to have to break out of your comfort zone!

An Ideal Start To Buying A First Home - 03/01/10 12:10 PM
An Ideal Start To Buying A First Home. We all at some point experience longings for a home of our own. Like puberty the timing will vary from individual to individual, but it's the same hormonal urge rushing us towards adulthood! The same need, a nest of our own! There are variations of course, but by and large the majority seek a home of their own.
Last week Jeff Belonger wrote: As a first time homebuyer, not knowing anything about buying a home, where do I start? Realtor or Loan Officer?? Asking who to start your journey towards a first home with. … (6 comments)
