How To Get Rid of Unwanted Houseguests - 10/21/10 09:19 PM
This entry is not what you might think, judging by the title (although sometimes it might be!). By unwanted houseguests, I'm refering to those pests and wildlife that sometimes take up residence in our homes without our invitation. And some of them can be quite pesky, like a family of skunks that invaded my crawl space!

Know Why Venetian Blinds Are Venetian? - 10/21/10 09:11 PM
I just love knowing the history of everyday home conveniences that we take for granted. For instance, did you know that Venetian blinds are a centuries-old invention and that they don't come from Venice as you might suspect by the name, but rather from China? Venetian merchants in the early renaissance started importing them to Europe, and Venice was the leading source of supply for hundreds of years. Check out the whole story at:

Why I Listed My Own Home at the Bottom - 10/13/10 12:12 PM
While I really don't need to sell my home right now, although it is too big for me, I decided to list my own home at the bottom of the market.  Sometimes the time just seems right for other reasons, but I feel that all factors must be considered.  Here is my personal journey as a Realtor.
