Record Heat in Denver slows real estate to a crawl - Fortunately anyone that has been here for any length of time knows that these heat waves are only temporary and soon we will be enjoying the cool crisp evenings on the patio again, and some will even want to bring a sweater. But for now, we are in record setting territory - 5 straight days of 100 plus temperatures including yesterdays all time record tying high of 105. Some interesting stats for the Denver market as we head into June - If you were to take all homes currently on the market and selling in the Denver area and broke them down by four sections based on price, the lower two sections have slowed down considerably. The hottest market right now is in the second highest tier which had an average price of $339K, these homes were selling almost 20% faster than homes in the other three price ranges. Low Maintenance Lifestyle does not mean Moving to the Senior Center - For the past couple years I have focused my attention on low maintenance lifestyles for down sizing baby boomers and empty-nesters. The biggest reason is that this is exactly where my wife and I are at in our lives.
