It's going to be a fun week in Woodland Park.
The new Wal-Mart Supercenter is scheduled to open September 19, 2007.  The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 7:30 in the morning.
The Rocky Mountain Oktoberfest is scheduled for this weekend. Sponsored by the Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce it's the area largest and most festive event of the year. It's held at Kavanagh Field on West Street in downtown Woodland Park on Saturday, September 22 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday, September 23 from noon-5 p.m. Ceremonial tapping of the keg will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center - 09/12/07 10:43 AM
The opening of the new Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center is scheduled for October 1, 2007. This state of the art facility is located just to the west of Woodland Park on Hwy 24. 
The new hospital is designed for staffing efficiency and with the capability of expansion as the need arises.
There will be 15 medical/surgical beds, in private rooms.
The surgery sections will provide two operating rooms, two minor procedure rooms and six pre/post-operative recovery beds.
The emergency department will have separate entrances for ambulatory and ambulance patients and includes six treatment spaces. The ambulance entrance will be protected from the weather by … (0 comments)
