I am so happy that you can join so many groups through LinkedIn. I have been connected now through 41 different groups in LinkedIn and at our monthly MEETUP I hear testimonials like an architect receiving a huge contract only through his connection on LinkedIn.
What is great about social networks is connection with others, but what is the best in them is doing more business as a result. Active rain is great, but how many of you have actually received direct business from Active Rain? Is information all that Realtors are looking for to share and to get or is business a bit part of Active Rain?
I'd love to turn my Active Rain into doing more business and would love to hear what is working for everyone here. I love it here very much but I'm trying to go after things in 2010 that REALLY WORK.

I want to invite investors, brokers, vendors, professionals, business owners of Johns Creek to our MEETUP on December 1, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Outback Steakhouse.
What is going to be so exciting is that you can be part of our "INFOMERCIAL" and you can promote yourself, your products, services or your company on the internet with us.
I am so excited about the World Mortgage Exchange Group and the new way of creating opportunities in financing of the future. I believe in it so much that I have invested tens of thousands of my own dollars and purchased stock in this company.
I love innovative ways, new positive ideas that will help buyers, sellers, developers and investors in the future.
I have fought this concept for so long but since more and more clients are asking me to help them I have no choice but to jump in and set up my systems that work to get these short sales moving to a WIN-WIN-WIN situation.
The seller has to win, the buyer has to win, and the bank has to win.
I have teamed up with investors who are now buying short sales. This allows us to move these properties faster and I think we are going to help to make this process professional, smooth and efficient.
We hope to not keep properties on the site long because the goal is to move them quickly. Call us if you have questions but REMEMBER this... if you choose to go this route and short sell your home, you must contact us before your homes goes into foreclosure. If you have hardship in your family and need help, we are here to assist you. dagmar@DagmarSands.com
I went to University of West Georgia today to see my son Michael perform in a concert. I spent the afternoon and evening surrounded by young people. Some of them studying to be a doctor, some languages, others want to be professors or teachers.
What I find amazing is the child-like quality in these 21 and 23 year olds. They still have this NAIVE and SWEET outlook on life. I wish I could protect them and let them keep this for many more years because when they get out there in the real world of dealing with stocks, money, paying bills and today's economy, this SWEET outlook will be replaced with STRESS and having to focus on hard WORK and lot less play.
I think by surrounding yourself with young people today you laugh more, you have more trusting outlook and staying young attitude. I hope to visit with these students again soon and it was great to laugh, to enjoy the evening and to relax in a totally different athmosphere. I loved it!
It's hard to believe that I'm so consumed about this social networking, blogging, sharing, learning and discovering the new technology that I look at the clock on my computer and I see that it's 5:51 a.m. already. Another night without sleep but I love it! I'm absolutely amazed with everything that internet brings us.
Yes, it's a time stealer and it's addictive, however, I rather be learning than sleeping.
Good night everyone or perhaps to those of you early birds, GOOD MORNING! Dagmar Sands
Thanks to Brad, I feel as if I was at the NAR Conference. Brad, I truly appreciate you sharing this information with us. I was signed up to be at the conference, however, due to a delayed closing had to cancel my trip - your YouTube is great. I will Re-Blog it and share it with others. Thank you, Dagmar Sands
The Best of NAR 2009 Expo - Real Estate Technology
NAR each year is always packed with great sessions, speakers, topics and presenters. There's no way to see and do it all! One of my favorite parts of the Convention is walking around, meeting people in the hallways, hugging old friends and shaking hands with new ones. This year, William Shatner was one of the special guests at NAR, but unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to sign him up on ActiveRain.
My absolute favorite is "cruisin" the EXPO and seeing all the "NEW" stuff that's being displayed. Many of the tools and services presented will have an affect and impact on the ways business will get done now, and in the future.
To See the more than 375 Booths and vendors that were there, here's an interactive floor-plan you can visit.
NAR always brings back some of the same vendors you see year after year, but I still like to stop by and see them, and how their products have changed or improved. Then there's all the new technology stuff I haven't seen or heard of yet. When I found a booth or vendor with a name I didn't recognize, or if they that had something I hadn't heard of, I'd ask them, "In a sentence, tell me who you are, what you do, and what does your company provide?"
So if you were unable to make it to NAR 2009 in San Diego this year, I hope you'll take a moment to let me be your eyes, your ears, and your feet at NAR, and enjoy this condensed version of "A Day with Brad at the NAR EXPO" and see a few of the "highlights" that I thought were some of the "Best of the NAR Expo."
We collected Business Cards and had a drawing at NAR for 2 RainCamp tickets and $100.00 American Express Card and the winner was....drumroll...Tamara Dorris from Sacramento, CA. Congratulations Tamara, we're looking forward to seeing you at RainCamp.
