Hurricane Irene ----Upstate New York - 08/28/11 07:25 PM
Hurricane Irene has came and went to upstate New York.  I am in Queensbury which is about 200 miles north of NYC.  I am about 20 miles north of Saratoga Springs in the Lake George Region.  For our area,  it was a reainy non-event,  although the media had my wife afraid to go outside.  I have listened to the weaather with my wife for nearly 24 hours.  It was exausting with lots of sizzle , but little steak,  not that I would want anyone's home to be harmed nor people in danger.

Issues with a short Sale - 08/28/11 03:34 PM
I have a property that went under contract the first time a year ago October.  The property has a pay-off of about $300K.  The bank involved is Soveriegn.  The offer was about $275K. The house had an appraisal value last year of around $320K.   The sellers were prompt in their paperwork and were lawyered up.  We continuously complied to the banks request for information ,  but time kept dragging on without an acceptaqnce from the bank.  At around the 4 months mark,  the buyers gave up and the sale fell apart.
