Well, I hope you saw the revised headline for closings....NAR increased the projected number of closings for 2007.  This is good news for the marketplace, as inventory is still good, weather cooperative, and buyers interest rates low,low,low!! Buy now.....it is affordable still!

12/10/07 Well folks, I saw a news column this morning that talks about renting versus owning.....I believe it is STILL a great time to own your home!  A huge percentage of the Fortune 500 own real estate.  It is still great to own, and over time to completely pay off.....Imagine if you were 55 years old and had paid off your home? That would be liking getting a HUGE raise every month!!  Many retirees actually use their home equity as a retirement nest egg.  Soooo... decide for yourself if you should rent or OWN!  and if you need help while you … (0 comments)

Hello all!  I forgot to mention to all please give to the non-profit of your choice at this Christmas!  There are so many great causes out in the community.....United Way, Salvation Army, Red Cross to name just a few.....Our real estate office just had a reception at the local Arts Centre for the Festival of Trees.  This organization too is a wonderful community non-profit that benefits all!

Well, here is my first post on the blog!  I am just finishing with a real estate Principles Class for the Berkeley County Board of Education...my team teacher, Ruthi Smith, and myself have taught the class for almost 10 years.  Ruthi will teach a spring class for real estate Principles if there are enough students.  Getting a license in real estate in WV requires 90 classroom hours before taking the real estate salesperson test in Charleston WV.  We have prepared students to test, we rely on Brokers to instruct further on selling real estate after prospective agents pass the test!  I … (2 comments)
