I just inspected another historic home in DC. A beautiful home. But there were some probelms lurking beyond the cosmetics. For instance, I came across some old Knob and tube wiring in the attic. This can be a potential fire hazard and in many cases insurance companies will not provide an insurance policy with knowledge of knob and tube wiring present. Some flooding in the basement was evident but it was because the sump pump was not functioning properly which was a real bumer for the seller because it created a conducive condition for mold growth and not to mention the … (2 comments)
