I had an absolutely incredible experience on Thursday, September 16. I was invited by Mike and Thelma Conklin to attend the adoption of their son. Pictured below was our source of transportation to the Franklin County courthouse in Chambersburg, PA

Great gas prices

I had to take this picture. Last night we filled up my wife's car with gas when returning from Collegeville, PA after watching our daughter's field hockey game at Ursinus College. Do you believe it? Well it is the honest truth. My wife had earned enought points at Giant grocery store to get $1.70 off a gallon of gas. I could hardly believe my eyes if I had not seen it for myself.

Ursinus Field Hockey
 

It was a great night for field hockey. The weather changed dramatically during the day and it was cool. You can see how the wind was blowing. Ursinus was playing Rowan University from New Jersey. It was a good game with Ursinus College winning 2-1. Winning is always more fun.

My daughter enjoyed a better game tonight. If you want to see a couple of pics of her, check out the Ursinus field hockey website.

I was able to enjoy the Philadelphia Phillies game on Labor Day at Citizen's Bank Park. My wife sat in the left centerfield seats. They were actually great seats. It was a good day, even though the Phillies did not play well. The whole experience and sitting next to my wife made it great.

Dealing with the disappointments of life
My daughter is beginning her senior season of field hockey at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA. Last night was the first game of the season and with it dawned high hopes and expectations of an amazing final season of organized sports activity. My daughter enjoyed a spectacular season last year with many individual honors. The team did well, winning the Centenniel Conference and making it to national semi-finals for Division III field hockey. The Beauty of a Backyard Butterfly Bush
It is amazing to me how often I miss the beauty of God's creation in my own backyard.
