Potential home buyers in Arlington, Va are singin' the blues. Who would of thought we would be seeing escalation clauses and multiple offers in the middle of the winter sales cycle but we are. Wondering why? Wonder no more. It's all about inventory. The number of homes on the market is dismally low compared to this time last year.
Active listings in January were down 40% from a year ago. Ouch. Pay attention sellers. If you are even thinking about selling.....think no more. In April and May other sellers will think the spring market is here and buyers are out … (0 comments)
Yesterday, I had two clients tell me that they were glad I was working with them on finding a new home. A new satisfaction survey shows that Arlington residents are quite satisfied with the services they receive from the county. With our numerous parks, libraries, bike paths, great schools and other services, I'm not surprised at all. Along with the proximity to downtown DC it's the reason that folks live here. Along with that our real estate taxes are the lowest in the area. What could be better?

Tomorrow is the first day of the new Westover Market in Arlington. Please come by and visit from 8-1. There will be a variety of vendors. Fresh produce, berries, baked goodies (yum....saving up my carb allotment for this and local meat and dairy. Walk on over if you're local. Bring your own recyclable bags and really be green. Part of being a good neighborhood realtor is staying involved in the community. Recently I became the realtor sponsor for our brand new Westover Farmer's market (more to come on that). In a couple of weeks my 13 year old pup and I will once again be participating in The Walk for the Animals. The Walk raises money for the The Animal Welfare League which places homeless animals and participates in answers calls for injured wild life.
