Jack, an agent in my office, had his home listed for sale. The expired listing showed up on my hotsheet this morning. Naturally, that meant I had to ask him if he was looking for a new listing agent. ;-) (16 comments)
camillus: Quite Possibly the World's Most Boring Video - 08/06/08 04:00 PM
I was checking things out online, when I stumbled across a link to this youtube video, NY5 - Camillus Bypass. I, like an idiot, actually sat and watched the whole thing. Driving. Just driving.
Maybe I don't drive the bypass enough. Maybe I'm so bored that I couldn't think of anything (4 comments)
camillus: The Truth About Open Houses - 08/06/08 11:13 AM
Open houses are either a lot of fun, or a complete pain in the backside, depending on your perspective. For every pro, there is a con. It's fun to go check out houses. It's a nightmare to prepare for. Open houses only sell 2 - 7% of all houses sold. Your (2 comments)

camillus: Changes are Coming in the Town of Camillus - Hinsdale Rd. and More - 07/17/08 12:30 PM
Bill Davern, Camillus 3rd Ward Councilor, sent out an update to area residents. I first met Bill almost 9 years ago after we moved into our present home, when he walked to my house to introduce himself. I don't know if he remembers meeting me or not, but it doesn't matter. (2 comments)
camillus: Multiple Offers - Jepoardy Without the Music - 07/14/08 10:08 AM
I hate multiple offers. I'm sitting in my office, waiting to hear what the big decision will be, and all I can think of is the theme song to Jeopardy. And get frustrated, because this computer doesn't have a sound card in it, so it's not even like I can go (5 comments)
camillus: I'm Looking for a Green Builder - 06/30/08 04:21 PM
Turning our lives around and going greener is not going to happen overnight, although at times I wish it was going along a little more quickly. I saw a great blog a few weeks ago called A Place For Our Stuff on NYCO's blog about Central New York. Its poignant insight into how we live, where (1 comments)
camillus: Desperate! Help Wanted - Is it a mobile home or not? - 06/17/08 06:05 PM
I'm supposed to be taking a listing tomorrow and am having a difficult time clarifying whether the structure is a mobile home or not. I'm really not that stupid - I swear. The proverbial lines are blurred, and I, apparently, am very nearsighted. With a stigmatism.
Here's what's going on: (8 comments)
camillus: Out On Tour of the West Side Today - 06/17/08 04:55 PM
I cruised out on tour today with Bill Bigelow and Brian Normoyle this morning. We had a little bit of a late start, and had to end at 12:30 to accommodate appointments, so we didn't get to see much. We also chose to skip several listings that we've already seen, or (0 comments)

camillus: Fair Housing and "Testers" - 05/08/08 11:17 AM
A couple weeks ago I took my required Fair Housing class. I love taking this class. For starters, it's always smart as a Realtor to be "up on" Fair Housing. Second, the information never gets old, or becomes dull or uninteresting. Third, it is a reminder that discrimination is still alive (3 comments)
camillus: Real Estate Activity in Camillus, NY - 03/13/08 11:00 PM
You don't want to call and bother an agent, you just want some basic information about what's available and how prices tend to run in an area. Buyers might be weighing the pros and cons of several different neighborhoods. Potential sellers are wondering what they might be able to sell their houses for. Real estate (0 comments)
camillus: Is Blogging Really Helping Me? - 03/12/08 11:23 PM
WAIT WAIT WAIT - I don't get this... The more I blog, the more I should be increasing my internet presence, right???? So, can someone, anyone, explain to me how it is that in the past couple weeks I've suddenly dropped backward on the proverbial Google radar? Or better yet, if I do a (7 comments)
