$7,500 Home Ownership Tax Credit - 10/30/08 02:50 PM
$7,500 Home Ownership Tax Credit by John Alesi, Mission Viejo REALTOR® Mission Viejo CA Real Estate The Federal Government recently created a unique opportunity for home buyers when they passed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (H.R. 3221). Being government sponsored, this "opportunity" comes along with a few conditional that are important to understand. Here are 6 things to know and understand: 1. Applies to home purchases after April 8, 2008 and before July 1, 2009. Taxpayers can take the credit on their 2008 tax return if they bought their house this year after April 9. 2. Buyers don't have (0 comments)

Car Show In Rancho Santa Margarita by John Alesi, Mission Viejo REALTOR® Mission Viejo CA Real Estate On Monday, Oct 10th, local Orange County real estate prognosticator, Gary Watts, presented a seminar "The New Financial World and Its Impact on Real Estate." After explaining the reasons for the current slump in financial markets and the resulting overflow into real estate, Watts ended with a few points that may be the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, it's not an oncoming train! -Credit conditions should greatly improve, bringing more buyers into the market place. -Demand for properties will continue (0 comments)

Market activity - Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Coto De Caza - Orange County - October 2008 by John Alesi, Mission Viejo REALTOR® Mission Viejo CA Real Estate Here is a snapshot of sales activity from Sept 15-Oct 15, 2008 for four cities in South Orange County. I have also included overall Orange County sales figures for comparison. In addition to the declining prices, you can see the increasing number of foreclosures, which were nearly non-existent in 2006, now make up a significant part of the sales activity. The last section of the chart is year-to-date activity for (0 comments)

Bailout For The Rich And Famous - 10/09/08 01:15 PM
Bailout For The Rich And Famous by John Alesi, Mission Viejo REALTOR® Mission Viejo CA Real Estate If you've seen the local (Los Angeles/Orange County) news today, there is a report that employees of AIG just spent $440,000+ of bailout money to pay for a retreat/conference at the St. Regis Monarch Bay resort in Dana Point, CA. A look at the tab revealed $147,000 for banquest, $139,000 for rooms, $23,000 for spa treatments and $7000 for golf fees! Are you feeling a little ripped-off? One employee commented that the trip had been planned before the financial crisis. Well, I had (0 comments)
Don't Vote on November 4th - 10/05/08 10:33 PM
Don't Vote on November 4th by John Alesi, Mission Viejo REALTOR® Mission Viejo CA Real Estate At least, don't show up in person to vote unless you have a lot of time to wait in line. The Orange County Registrar of Voters is in the final stages of preparation for one of the largest voter turnouts on record for the November 4, 2008 General Election. With an anticipated turnout of around 73%, the Registrar is recommending that voters use alternative methods of voting rather than visiting your neighborhood poll place. Even though Orange County is one of only two counties (2 comments)
This is my first attempt at a VLOG - video blog - so, I'd appreciate your comments (be gentle!). I don't think I'm ready for prime time but I hope to get better at this. I used my Flip Ultra video cam, edited with Eyespot.com online editor and posted to YouTube. I tried to use the Eyespot embed code but there was too much extra junk around the screen. Any suggestions on filming, editing and posting would be appreciated. John Alesi - REALTOR® CENTURY 21 Superstars (5 comments)
Author Bio: After many years of working in the sales business, I have chosen to dedicate my career to the real estate industry. In more casual terms, I have decided to build my business around helping people fulfill their dreams of home ownership with a very personal touch. Unlike many in this industry who "got their license to play around in real estate", I am committed to giving 100% to each and every customer. Buying or selling your home is a complicated process that requires the knowledge, skills and effort that a part time agent cannot provide. Whether you are buying your first home, moving up because of a growing family, relocating due to a job transfer, seeking that dream estate on the golf course or downsizing in the golden years, I believe it is my obligation to treat everyone with honor and respect and with the highest degree of service and professionalism. Feel free to call me to discuss your real estate needs. I promise that I will take good care of you.
