      <title>I want to hear</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Hello ALL ActiveRainers!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I wanted to take a few minutes and reach out to all of you.&amp;nbsp; Lately, there has been a lot of talk about how tough business has been.&amp;nbsp; It is kind of a downer to hear all that stuff!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My team is killing it!&amp;nbsp; I have not been this busy in almost two years.&amp;nbsp; My clients run about a 60/40.&amp;nbsp; 60 % commercial and 40 % residential.&amp;nbsp; I have never been this excited to be in the business than I am now.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;(Update... As of July 15th 2009 Commercial Loan financing has gotten so busy I am nolonger doing residential finance.&amp;nbsp; All residential loans are now referred to Matt Bartlett of Summit Mortgage)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If any of you out there are having some good or great success I WANT TO HEAR about it.&amp;nbsp; The positive stories keep my attitude up a lot better than some of the stuff I have been hearing!&lt;/p&gt;

With the weather the way it is I appreciate having a place like a Home and Garden show to spend some time with my wife. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It has only been a few months since my wife and I got married and bought our first house together. What I am learning is we both have different priorities when it comes to projects and the Home and Garden shows really bring those differences to the forefront.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My wife, Gwen, really wants the kitchen redone and the yard landscaped. If the entire house were to fall down leaving the yard and kitchen in tact I think she would be fine with that. For Gwen those two things are pretty much it other than painting.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am just the opposite. If I get my way I will rip off the roof, add a bonus room, gut the entire house and completely remodel everything as long as I can stay with in my budget of $60 a square foot. That would bring our total cost of buying the home and remodeling up to fair market value for homes in my neighborhood. If I can do it for less all the better!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Walking around the Home and Garden Shows I saw a lot of the same thing. However, I did like the opportunity to learn about new products for saving energy and creating better structural integrity for home. Years ago I did construction for a living and I tend to think I know a thing or two and seeing how much things have changed in 8 to 10 years was kind of fun and humbling at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I would like to say thanks for all of the people and companies that spent the time and the money to do both the Minneapolis and St Paul Home and Garden shows. It was a good time.
