      <title>Winterize your Pool! I know nothing about it!!!!</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Protect Your Pool from Freezing This Winter&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;OK So I know nothing about how to do this, but I thought I should share it because maybe I'm not the only one. Hopefully this will help you to have a nice refreshing pool next summer!&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;Once the creep of autumn makes it a little too cool for your pool, it's time to think about buttoning up your little oasis of aquatic pleasure until next spring. So for a raft of advice that really holds water, I turned to Ann Janowicz, general manager of Kasper&amp;rsquo;s Pool Supplies and Spas in Easton, Pa.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Janowicz says proper winterizing means more than just covering the pool. The pool must be cleaned, winter chemicals must be added, water chemistry must be balanced, and the water level should be lowered.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Most importantly, she says, winterizing is about freeze protection, and taking steps to protect the pool equipment and lines from being split apart by freezing water. To prevent freeze damage, Janowicz says water must be drained or blown out of all pumping, filtering, heating and chlorinating equipment and other pool plumbing.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; This is not always a &amp;ldquo;do-it-yourself&amp;rdquo; project. Every pool is different, and each will require specific procedures and equipment to implement those procedures.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Janowicz, a certified pool operator (CPO) and a director of the Northeast Spa and Pool Association (NESPA) notes that, &amp;ldquo;If you don&amp;rsquo;t know the exact procedure or if you do not have the equipment to winterize correctly, you should call a professional. A pool is a big investment.&amp;rdquo;&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; She says the right time to winterize varies by climate and individual preference. Many pool owners opt to close in late August or early September before leaves begin to fall, while others heat their water and enjoy swimming into the early autumn season.       <title>Americans' Expectations Align to Encourage Home Buying</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;More consumers may be looking to purchase homes with a shift in several key housing market indicators, according to Fannie Mae&amp;rsquo;s March 2012 consumer attitudinal National Housing Survey. More Americans now expect both home rental and home purchase prices to increase over the next year. In addition, confidence in consumers&amp;rsquo; views of their own finances is stabilizing. These trends may be providing Americans with an increased sense of urgency to buy a home as 73 percent of Americans now believe it is a good time to buy a home, up from seventy percent in February.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &amp;ldquo;Conditions are coming together to encourage people to want to buy homes,&amp;rdquo; says Doug Duncan, vice president and chief economist of Fannie Mae. &amp;ldquo;Americans&amp;rsquo; rental price expectations for the next year continue to rise, reaching their record high level for our survey this month. With an increasing share of consumers expecting higher mortgage rates and home prices over the next 12 months, some may feel that renting is becoming more costly and that homeownership is a more compelling housing choice.&amp;rdquo;&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Homeownership and Renting&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt; Thirty-three percent of respondents expect home prices to increase over the next 12 months, a five percentage point increase from last month, the highest level over the past 12 months.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; The survey shows that, on average, Americans expect home prices to increase by 0.9 percent over the next 12 months (up slightly since last month).&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Additionally, 39 percent of Americans say that mortgage rates will go up in the next 12 months, a five percentage point increase from last month.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; The percentage of respondents who say it is a good time to buy rose by three points to 73 percent, the highest level in over a year, while the percentage of respondents who say it is a good time to sell rose one point to 14 percent this month.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; On average, respondents expect home rental prices to increase by 4.1 percent over the next 12 months, a significant increase since February, and the highest number recorded to date.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Forty-eight percent of respondents think that home rental prices will go up, a three percentage point increase from last month and the highest number recorded to date.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Sixty-six percent of respondents say they would buy their next home if they were going to move, up one point since last month, while thirty percent say they would rent, up one point versus last month.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;strong&gt; The Economy and Household Finances&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br&gt; The rise in confidence in the economy&amp;rsquo;s direction leveled this month, with 35 percent responding that they think the economy is on the right track, consistent with February&amp;rsquo;s total. The percentage who say the economy is on the wrong track rose slightly from 57 percent to 58 percent.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Only 12 percent think that their personal financial situation will worsen in the next 12 months, consistent with February as the lowest value in over a year, and tied with January 2011 for the lowest to date.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Twenty-one percent of respondents say their income is significantly higher than it was 12 months ago, up 1 point versus February, while 63 percent say it has stayed the same&amp;mdash;consistent with February&amp;rsquo;s values.&lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; Thirty-four percent say their expenses have increased significantly over the past 12 months (a slight increase of one percentage point). &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; For more information, visit &lt;a href="http://www.fanniemae.com/"&gt;www.fanniemae.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;div class="agent_signature"&gt;

Start looking around at things that interest you and repin a few things, you will quickly find that certain things fit into certain boards more than others. You can name the board after you repin (or while you are repinning) which helps figure out the genre better.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

By doing this your pin can now be seen by everyone that goes to that category, not just floating around in your own little world.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

One little tip from a commentor, whatever text you highlight with your cursor before clicking "pin it" will auto transfer to the text box of your pin! If you post the same on every pin people may start to unfollow you, so keep it interesting. I pin a lot of beautiful pictures of places that link back to the real estate site. Many times people repin because its somewhere they want to visit.. who knows, if they find you at every turn, they automatically think of you when the time comes to move there.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Under the about section you can choose several ways to add a pin-it button to your website or create a favorite button on your browser tool bar so where ever you are online, you click the pin-it button and it automatically pins whatever you want, wherever you want. &lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;Spring is in full bloom&amp;mdash;and so is the spring housing market! The last thing you need when prepping for an open house is odor or airborne pollen and dust, making your clean house seem dirty. &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; ABC The Chew correspondent and home expert, Evette Rios, knows how to keep a home fresh and clean for showing. She offers some of her top tips, below. &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;strong&gt;1. When to Go with the (Air) Flow &lt;br&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;Rios points out that many don&amp;rsquo;t realize is that the EPA states that indoor air can be 5 to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air. So if the day is nice and the pollen count is low, homeowners should consider opening their windows and doors to let fresh air circulate. On days when pollen is high, consider an air purifier. &amp;ldquo;Try the Honeywell AirGenius 5, which helps diminish odors and even helps reduce VOCs, airborne allergens, and airborne germs, which is key for families that spend a lot of time indoors,&amp;rdquo; says Rios, who also suggests using an air purifier when sleeping to keep lungs clear all night long. &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;strong&gt;2. What Your Fragrance Says about You &lt;br&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;When you walk into a home, one of the first things that hits you is the smell, which can be a deal breaker if it&amp;rsquo;s an open house. Even if your home doesn&amp;rsquo;t have a strong odor (think kitty litter or last night&amp;rsquo;s dinner), a musty, dusty smell can still resonate. &amp;ldquo;Dust has a way of finding its way into the home and can start collecting as soon as you wipe your furniture, floors or countertops clean. Help reduce airborne dust particles with an air purifier,&amp;rdquo; says Rios, who also suggests using a fan to circulate stagnant indoor air while helping to eliminate odors. &lt;br&gt; &lt;br&gt; &lt;strong&gt;3. Improving the &amp;ldquo;Ahh&amp;rdquo; Factor in Your Home &lt;br&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&amp;ldquo;If you live in an apartment building, air ducts between apartments can be carrying unfiltered air from your neighbor straight to you,&amp;rdquo; says Rios. &amp;ldquo;From cooking smells to viruses to pet dander &amp;ndash; you name it &amp;ndash; just imagine what could be passing through to your dwelling.       <title>Spring has sprung in Southern Maryland</title>

Who would have thought it. Not only has Spring Sprung, but so has the Real Estate Market here! Im not sure it a tell tale sign of the Market or not, but Buyer and Sellers are coming out of the wood work. Not sure the reason, perhaps its the great interest rates or the great prices, but either way. It is a sign that it is time to BUY!&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;OK so, I know i have been very busy trying to keep up my normal work load, and realized I have completely neglected posting on Activerain. Well some of the exciting news that has occured with me lately is that I recieved the Century 21 New Millennium Rookie of the Year Award. This is relaly exciting for me as I have truly poured myself into my work over the last year, and this year will be even greater!!!       <title>Here's the Latest News on the HAMP Loan Modification Program</title>

&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: normal;"&gt;&lt;img title="Loan Modfication" src="http://activerain.com/image_store/uploads/2/7/5/9/1/ar129272781419572.jpg" height="360" alt="HAMP" style="float: left; margin: 10px;" width="350"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Just the other day, on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, the Congressional Oversight Panel (&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.cop.senate.gov"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;www.cop.senate.gov&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt;) issued a report that provided a scathing commentary on the HAMP program (Obama&amp;rsquo;s loan modification program)--stating that it has not been nearly as effective as previously hoped.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The report states that the government&amp;rsquo;s loan modification program (HAMP) has not provided assistance to the 3 or 4 million homeowners that Barack Obama stated would receive more sustainable mortgage loans when the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) was launched in March of 2009. Instead, only about 700,000 will have benefitted from this program.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;It is interesting to note that while the Treasury initially committed $75 billion of Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funds to the&amp;nbsp;HAMP&amp;nbsp;initiative, it now appears Treasury will spend only $4 billion on&amp;nbsp;HAMP&amp;nbsp;incentives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The members of the panel even stated that government&amp;rsquo;s loan modification program was &amp;ldquo;ineffective,&amp;rdquo; and they claimed that the Treasury&amp;rsquo;s reluctance to address flaws of the program has had &amp;ldquo;real consequences.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;The report made by the Congressional Oversight Panel also states that the Treasury has failed to hold loan servicers accountable when they have repeatedly lost borrower paperwork or refused to perform loan modifications.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;While the latest report on HAMP goes into more detail, it clearly corroborates what most borrowers and real estate aficionados have already experienced&amp;mdash;that the concept of a loan modification for troubled borrowers is not as successful or effective as everyone would have hoped.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;OK so I gave up on real tree's a couple years ago, but I know there are all of you out there that still like dealing with needles over the floor and trimming it to fit in the door, and keeping it watered all the time, and the dragging it out of the house to recycle it! &lt;p&gt;Unless otherwise noted, all stands, lights, decorations, and tinsel must be removed. Artificial Christmas trees can not be recycled. They must go out with the garbage.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;General tips for most haulers:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights, and other NON-Organic decorative materials. This includes tree stands also. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Trees are often required to be cut into 4 ft lengths; so you may need to cut your tree in half. In some locales, the trees must be cut small enough pieces to fit inside your green (yard waste) container. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Flocked trees will often need to be chopped-up and disposed with regular solid waste. Each area has different requirements, so be sure to check with your hauler's website (see below). &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Trees are usually collected curbside for two weeks after Christmas. &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;FREE Drop-off locations are also commonly available &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If you miss the collection period, you can cut-up the tree and place it in your green (yard waste) container for pick-up on the regularly scheduled service day; assuming your area has a yard waste collection program to which you subscribe. &lt;/li&gt;
