Madison Has A Real Haunted House... Do you Believe? - 10/31/09 01:41 PM
Some people believe in haunted houses and cemeteries and some don't. Is it just your imagination or is it true? Are there ghost and spirits with us or is it the wind and the ground settling below us? In Madison we have and large old building that has been around since 1859 Maybe it is haunted maybe its not. What I do know is I have been in this building( my fair share of times in the late 80's ) and it was quite the spooky place back then. When I was there it had high ceilings, paint flaking off the walls, big heavy doors that (14 comments)

When is Freedom of Speech ......TO FREE......? I will tell you when...... - 10/28/09 11:37 AM
So when is freedom of speech to free? The free communication of ideas and opinions is one of the most precious of the rights of man. Every citizen may, accordingly, speak, write, and print with freedom. So where do we draw the line? Who are you or I to say what others speak, write, and print? I wrote a blog the other day A Feel Good Story ......Turned Tragic it was about a local young Marine that was killed in Afghanistan. It was my right to print it he was fighting for my right to do this he gave his life for me (28 comments)
Congressman Zane " Don't you just love the way it rolls off your tongue " - 10/26/09 03:12 PM

The Crash of 1929 (80 years and still going up and down) - 10/24/09 09:19 AM
80 years ago on this date 10-24-1929 was the start of Great Depression Who caused it and why? Many people blamed the crash on commercial banks that were too eager to put deposits at risk on the stock market....sound familiar maybe.. I wasn't there (I was born in 1969) I only know what I read in the history books and we all know history is in the eyes of the writer of it. So what really happened? The day of the stock market crash. At 1 p.m. on the same day (October 24), several leading Wall Street bankers met to find a (10 comments)
If you don't wanna trick or treat....here is something for you.... - 10/23/09 07:41 PM
Well it is just about that time of year. The kids are going to dress up run around the neighborhood and collect candy and prizes from the houses with their porch lights on...And you have to follow them and make sure they are safe....The older ones run off and the younger ones cry from all the scary and crazy costumes and the bigger kids frightening them....If your like me and have a kid or two every five years it just goes on and on and on (20 years of trick or treating with the little ones) Now I'm not saying it ain't fun....ok (3 comments)
A Feel Good Story ......Turned Tragic - 10/22/09 01:48 PM
Last week I was out working in the garage and I'm listening to the radio and the DJ starts telling the story of a local mom who didn't have the money to fly to California to see her son. He was coming home from his 1st tour in Afghanistan. The next thing you know people started calling the radio station (WKKY in Geneva) and donating money for a plane ticket for this Marine mom to fly out to Camp Pendleton in California to see him. Within hours radio listeners and local business's donated enough money for Laurie Lewkoski to go see (11 comments)
