where do you post listings? - 11/28/09 09:05 AM
I have been a little confused about where to post listings. I have some nice properties in Residential, Commercial as well as investment and Land. I do not want to clog up AR with listings in the wrong areas.
Also any hints on Tags?
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and hopefully we can all finish the year strong. We were in the office yesterday for about 3.5 hours and had 3 quality inquiries.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Some activity in the market - 11/27/09 09:23 AM
The last few weeks in our office have been fairly busy. We have had a few housing starts but I believe the uptick is more related to the continued bottoming out in the pricing. This is getting a few fence sitters and small investors moving into the market. We have seen more foreclosures coming on the market. We need jobs here espically in the construction areas. Without a housing recovery and new construction our employment numbers will keep rising. One job opening had 100 applicants which is over the top for our community. In fact I have had several people say to … (1 comments)

community dinner - 11/26/09 03:57 PM
Just got home from Montrose community Thanksgiving Dinner. Free everyone over 2000 people, awesome time for all. With the help from all area Realtors we donated over 100 turkeys, that does not include other organizations with all they donated. What a great way for our small town to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Hope everyone out there has had a great day.

thankful on Thanksgiving - 11/26/09 11:21 AM
Just got back from a walk on our property. Reflecting on this past year and all the trials and successful events. We have had such a roller coaster market but were able to help a lot of people see their homeowner dream come true.
Take a minute to survey where you are and give thanks. Even those who have had extreme trouble look ahead, endure and keep moving forward, work hard, and good things will happen.
Happythanksgiving to all.

Beware of the con artist - 11/13/09 04:03 PM
We had a walkin last week cash buyer etc. etc. He had the most elaborate line of BS I have ever come across. He worked us with his sick wife and twin daughters, needed to purchase and close in 12 days, had the money and was ready to look for a house. Lost his wallet went to police to get paper work for a new one also the bank to cancell credit cards and order new ones. Really really good, we lent him a 100 bucks to get gas to talk his recovering girls to a friends in another city. Anyway … (2 comments)

How is your market? - 11/05/09 11:54 AM
We have been seeing quite a bit of activity at our RE/MAX office here in Montrose. It seems as though more people are seeing the potential to get a great deal on property, the 8000 dollar incentives have helped but we are seeing people step up with all the price reductions that are not 1st time home buyers as well (although this activity is not a mad dash, hopefully a slight turn upward). Really hard time for sellers.
What is the real driving force behind the national uptick in home sales?
I feel that this move upward is somewhat of a … (0 comments)
