fannin county texas: How's this for an open "house" tour!

Everybody hates holding open "houses" right? I think I've found the exception to the rule. I took a couple of professional RE colleagues out hog hunting today. I scared up a couple (hogs) but they didn't go where we needed them to. Oh well, a bad day hunting sure beats a good day at the office. The weather was perfect, low 70's, clear sky, slight breeze. I have another property that I can take folks out to preview, about 256 acres on the Red River. Any takers?

"If only . . " Probably the saddest phrase in the English language. It normally precedes some statement of regret, loss or suffering. In real estate, that phrase can be heard alot today. If only I hadn't bought at the top of the market. If only I had bought the lake lot next to mine. If only I hadn't invested in that REIT a couple of years ago. Here are some interesting facts and statistics on Fannin County: Of the two tiers of counties that surround Dallas and Tarrant counties, it is the most north-east. I fondly refer to the greater D/FW area as the Metromess.

That one's already taken. But it captures the sentiment. I've been toying with this idea now for about 10-15 years. I want to start a very unique school that combines our heritage or pioneer living skills with modern green energy technologies. This would be a place where individuals and families could come and spend a week-end or a week or two learning all kinds of skills and crafts in a setting that is more than a "day camp" or tourist village.
