I posted this a couple days ago We Might Have a New Pet. It seems now to be official; we do have a new pet.  Its a CAT and it is living in the garage.  The kids can bring it inside, but it can't stay in the house. I am just not a big pet guy, but the kids love it so what do you do!

It actually disappeared after I posted the above post, but yesterday when the kids came home from school they where out looking for the little kitten and a neighbor was walking his dog and stated that he had fond the kitten and asked another neighbor to keep it in her shed.

So the kids went to kid it and wanted to keep it. I agreed...as long as they listen to me and the KITTEN and them don't cause any trouble.

This is great because now when I ask them to clean the room they DO IT...or the kitten goes.

Anyway, if anyone can give me any Cat tips let me know. I got a couple in my last blog but I could use more information on how to care for a kitten. Thanks!

Chuck - All I can tell you is that YOU will land up doing what the cat wants, and not the other way around .... I'm talking from experience.

Let's see... You are going to want to make sure that you give it a good bath twice a day... They get very dirty.. (laugh)...

Give it a little food, little water and lotta love... your kids can do all of it if you can't bring yourself to it... Good luck... and have fun..

Chuck, no clue for cats, I am allergic to them!  Have fun with it!

Please don't leave the cat in the garage, what with all the fumes, darkness, coldness, and unwanted thingsthat are housedin a garage, let it come in out of the cold.  As I write this, my cat is lying next to me.  Have you noticed how they like to follow you around or be near you?  He is the first to greet me when I come home.

Hi Chuck ~ Come on over to the other side - let the cat in the house! You will learn to love it (at least I sure hope so!) and it will win you over and change your life.  The kitty can't live in the garage. Ugh.  They're as easy as can be and will brighten your life enormously.

What kind of stimulation will your cat receive if its left in a cold dark place all day alone, without fresh air or a window to look thru?  If you do not want to take the time to care for your cat or don't have the time to care for it properly, please give it to someone who will.  It is better to give it a nice home than to subject it to what you are suggesting.  Household pets are not for everyone.

I'm still hoping that you do the right thing and let it curl up beside you or on you.  The purring is irresistible.  Give it a try, PLEASE.  This last sentence I just typed with Drew (my cat) on my shoulder one of his favorite places to be.
