I return comment for comment. When I'm out and about previewing properties for my Clients, I occasionally will stop some place where I've never been, or where I haven't been recently. I like to see what's new in town.

We have a new Hilton hotel here in San Diego, right down on the bay front, which could be why they named it the Hilton Bayfront Hotel. Imagine that.

It is a gorgeous hotel, both inside and out, but I did have to question at least one of their paintings. I liked what they did with the candles, but I think the painting might be more appropriate for Washington or Wall Street.

That is a little weird.  I wonder if they just couldn't find something to match the decor and opted for that!

Dear Jim,

Your photo made me see red!

It makes you wonder who chooses the art?

It makes me think even I could be an artist. Maybe if you stare at it long enough, something will appear.

Or not.

Hey, Jim. That is funny. You are right, I guess they are seeing red right now. Take care, Jim

Hi Jim, I guess it all depends on taste and one's views on what is art.

Art is in the eye of the beholder, I clearly do not share their same vision as this artwork offers.

Hi Jim - It is a very attractive setting, but to think someone actually got paid to paint that piece of art makes me think that maybe I am in the wrong profession!  I might be able to manage to do a piece like that.

Hi Jim: I guess it is true: beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

That almost looks like a swatch of fabric. Actually, my almost 3 year old daughter did a very similar painting with red and purple this morning at preschool. I was joking that it could be be worth thousands to the right "buyer"!

Either I have a strange eye for art or they do.  I think the wall in my daughter's room looks very similiar, maybe a little lighter shade.

Well artists are tempermental and have wonderfully dry senses of humour. I know I am surrounded by them my father, sister and daughter are all wonderful artists

That painting is breathtaking - maybe they didn't want to compete with their own views.
