For all those frustrated, a fishing analogy that helps me.

If you placed all your lines in the water and still are waiting for a bite, a few things may be going on.

Are you screaming at the fish to hurry-up and bite?            This method works poorly.

Are you fishing near the waste water treatment plant?       Not many fish there, but on the odd chance you catch one, what are you going to do with it?

If you haven't been fishing in polluted waters, but still are waiting for bites, you are probably using the wrong bait, the wrong method, or you're not fishing where the fish are.

Fishing is just that -  fishing.                                                         I like catching better than fishing.

That's why I have to adjust my techniques to provide for a better catch.

If the old faithful bait doesn't work, could be smarter fish,  a change in the water, or they are biting on something new.

I look for all the signs. I try to think like a fish. (not to be confused with drinking like a fish).

Above all I try never to pollute my waters.

Spring is here and it's finally fishing season.

Wishing all -  tight lines, and a full cooler.

The fishing is great here in Charlotte, N.C.

Claude, I get it.  As a lifelong fisherman and hunter I loved your analogy.  We all know it is called catching as if it was anyone could do it.  Think like your prey... That's the ticket....

Claude- As they say....time to cut bait and move on to something or someplace else. It never hurts to try something new.

As a hunter, evolution is always taking place in my mind with stand choices, camoflage patterns, scent control and UV nulification. The game changes with each new hunt and so must I. As a REALTOR, there is no difference, just a different game to stalk.

I agree with you totally. In the slow moments are where the proper decisions are made and put into practice. Do not let a single moment go by with out considering what you can do to push to that extra mile that makes the difference.

Dean - I just hope buyers don't think we're preying upon them...or are we? :) Thanks for the comment.

Martha - Right on ! Thanks

Jim - I like that. Some of the best outcomes  just take a little extra effort knowing you are on the right path. Thank for the comment

Claude, OK, I hate fishing, however my husband loves fishing, just hates to catch fish. But, I get it, I get it, it's one of those... analogy's.

Very good!

Or maybe it was just about fishing..

Claude - This is funny and true.  The bottom dwellers of late are very tiring and the when you get one on, the darn line keeps snapping.  Time to change my bait and go for a tuna.  LOL

Claude,

The analogy of business to fishing is perfect.  I think Jesus used that analogy in training his sales group of 12.  :)

Every time I toss a short sale into the lake, fish swarm around it, all trying to take little bites. I don't need no stinkin' fishing pole when I can scoop them up with a net.
