Amy, cool shot, I have been to Bellingham twice. I love the scenery out there.

Amy - Beautiful shot! Never knew you had those kind of mountains out there. Nice!

Amy,

That is such a beautiful shot - kind of a "top-of-the-world" vantage point. :)

And what mountaintop were you standing on to get a shot above the trees of the other mountaintop?

Thanks to all your compliments!

Greg - It is pretty, isn't it?

Robert - the Cascades are all like this! Very dramatic indeed!

Lori - Come visit any time!

Rosalinda - I love sharing my part of the world.

Kat - WA is full of beautiful shots like this for sure. I feel I have so many of them on my computer! Whether you want mountain views or water views, WA has it all.

Paul - The colors were what drew me to the shot! Thanks.

Tara - I was up early! Before dawn literally...

Andrea - Mother Nature resides out here in the Pacific Northwest - I like to think. She visits other places, but her permanent residence is here!

Steve - It was an amazing vantage point! I was very lucky indeed. I had tried for several mornings to capture this shot, and never could quite get the angle.

Jim - I was actually out on our property standing on the bed of our truck. For about five mornings, I had tried to take this photograph, but could not quite seem to succeed. We have no hills on our property. But, if you stand in the middle of our property on our truck (and I stand 5'10"), and point the camera slightly up, this is what you can capture. I used a zoom lens, and those trees are about five to six acres away.

The goal was to make it seem like I was up high, like on my roof. Hope you liked it. I was on the Mountaintop of Nissan, photographing Mt. Baker.

Thank you Mike for viewing. I'm still learning a lot about photo-taking. It really is an art, but I find it so fascinating. Thanks for commenting. Cheers to you!

That's beautiful!  That's the type of sunrise that makes you want to go for a nice long walk and just enjoy nature!
