Investor Marketing Tip - QUICKNESS MATTERS when it comes to response time

There are many different factors within your control that will shape investors' perceptions about you as a real estate professional. If your looking for a skill that will set yourself apart from your competition, QUICKNESS is one of them. Response time is certainly something that you want to concentrate on, because QUICKNESS MATTERS, and the speed at which you are able to service your clients will often be the determining factor that brings them back to you.

Often, agents do not respond quickly enough because they do not have the optimal response for the client. For example, a prospect calls/emails you with a question, and you don't have the answer, so you don't immediately respond. Instead, you search for the answer and get back to them when you find it, or you don't get back to them at all.

Consider the effect if you were to call/email the client back right away to tell them you are working on finding an answer, that you will get back to them as soon as you find it, and if you can't provide the solution they are looking for you will try to point them in the right direction. This communicates to clients that you are a responsible professional who they can trust and that you are capable of taking on new business from them.

So true -- I know I've asked questions and not heard a quick response . . . wondering if my email went to cyberspace or spam!  Makes me (and others) feel more important and valued when a quick call or email communicates that the situation is being worked on!

Guilty, I am but I'm working on it! And I was feeling a little guilty so I just emailed two people to tell them I'm still working on the answers for them. Thanks for the kick in the butt!

Hi Margaret, all the more reason why a quick response puts agents in a better position!

Hi Kelsey, we're all guilty! Sorry you didn't get my response immediately! Every now and then, we all need a kick in the butt!
