My daughters class has been to the Outdoor Education Center twice this school year as part of the environmental educational program they offer.

The Outdoor Education Center also offers Rock Climbing and nature hiking.

Wendy, what do they do in a ropes course?  It sounds like a great program.

Thanks Jim.  I hadn't heard of it until my daughter had a field trip there and it is close to my home.

Diane, I haven't been on the ropes course but plan to this summer.  I learned about it at one of my daughters field trips.  Part of the ropes course is a 400 foot zip line.  They have staff there to help you with the course you choose they have different selections from low to high.  I'll have photos of the ropes course and more information once we visit it after school is out.  They have half day and full day programs, corporate rates and youth rates.

I think this is great.  i am also a firm believer of a children being on a swim team.  Learning skills in the outdoors is very important.  thanks for sharing and I wish you the best.
