An overlooked corner of Lancaster County PA is what's known as "Central Manor".  Roughly, it lies between Millersville on the east and Washington Boro on the west.  Route 999 runs through it's middle but is a minor byway.  Farmland makes up the bulk of the land, with several large creeks flowing towards the nearby Susquehanna River.  Central Manor has only a few larger developments so the landscape is particulary pristine.

Manor township is the governing municipality.  The school district is Penn Manor, with a local elementary school.

What you'll love about this corner of Lancaster County is the peace & quiet you'll experience, while being only 10 minutes from Route 30 to the north.  This location is ideal for those commuting to York County for work.  The area is home to lots of farmstands, markets and an historic church campmeeting as well.  Just to the west, Washington Boro nestles along the river, which is over a mile wide at this point.  

Take a drive through Central Manor and enjoy it!  Either take Route 999 west from Millersville, or exit Route 30 at Prospect Road and head south, or come east from Route 441 in Washington Boro.
