Lions Club International Mission Statement:  "To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation."

The Forest Lions Club was chartered in June 1973... 35+ years of dedicated service by caring individuals... men and women, giving freely of their time and talent to improve the lives of others in our community and globally. The Forest Lion Club serves the local community in many ways:

 

·       Eye exams and eye glasses

·       Collect used eye glasses

·       Hearing exams and hearing aids

·       Forest Youth Athletic Association

·       Forest Volunteer Fire Department

·       Campbell County Rescue Squad

·       Forest Community Sign

·       Salvation Army

·       Yearly vocational scholarships

·       Jefferson Forest after prom party

·       Food Baskets for the poor

·       Bateman Bridge Road Cleanup

The Forest Lions Club holds two fundraising events, the annual Christmas Tree Sale and it's annual Raffle. The new Forest Volunteer Fire Department currently under construction on Route 811 in Forest is one of the projects funds will go to.
