Rainbow Yarn: Navajo Rugs, Germantown Yarn, and the PA Connection

Lancaster Quilt &Textile Museum
This exciting exhibition will focus on the history and influence of the woll yarn produced in the Germantown section of Philadelphia upon Navajo weavings. Featuring more than 40 weavings, the exhibition will chronicle how these brilliantly colored, tightly bound Germantown yarns were introduced by traders to Navajo weavers.

The Elements of Quilting
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Learn about design, choosing colors, tools, methods of construction, and purchasing fabric at the Heritage Center with instructor Jo Garvin. We'll cover the basics, which should give you the confidence to start a simple project. Registration deadline: March 6th.
