I am sure that many of you will remember the cartoon figure Snagglepuss. He was the one that would always use the clever phrase "Exit Stage Left" when he wanted to get out of a scene. Snagglepuss first appeared on the Quick Draw McGraw Show and then became a regular part of the Yogi Bear Show. As a kid, I always wondered where his exit signs were and how he knew what door to go out of.

Now that I am older, I still wonder where his exit sign were at or at least how he knew which doors to exit out of. With that said, as a branch manager, one of the things that I had to always consider was where my exits where. As a branch manager, I was responsible for the safety of my people and the last thing that I wanted to happen was someone getting hurt because the exits are not clearly marked.

EXIT SIGNS might not seem like a high priority on a branch managers list. Well, frankly it might not be. When I was an Operations Manager, I kept up with it for the branch manager. I guess once I had my own branch, I just kept doing it.
