Tonight Clarksville got to attend the public unveiling of the design and plans for the Clarksville Marina and plans for a redeveloped Fairgrounds Park. The Riverview Inn Ballroom was packed with the back wall lined with people interested to see and hear about Clarksville's new Marina.  This can be a great thing for the Clarksville Community with everything that is planned. If you are interested in a boat slip at the Clarksville Marina, you can reserve yours today as Greg Batts is looking at the mixture of slips that may be needed at Clarksville Marina located at 172.2 mile marker on the Cumberland River.

Fairgrounds Park will CLOSE on June 15, 2009 as Parks and Rec get the property ready for the Marina construction.

Estimatatesd cost for the Clarksville Marina alone is $8Million to $9Million

The Water Park that was previously mentioned to be worked into this project will not be included while the current community Playground will remain in its current location with the construction being done around it.
