Wow, I am NOT a computer guy!!! I spent many days trying to add that stupid "sign up for my email" widget thingy!!! I got the code and I knew you were supposed to copy and paste, but I kept getting parts of the code showing up when I updated my settings. So finally I went in chopping bits of the code out, and looking to see what would come up and it finally worked!!!! Now I am at peace! (Ha!) Man, they say technology is supposed to make our lives easier. I guess it might, if you can take the time to learn how to use it!!!
I'm with you Sonia! I've found a few great HTML tutorial sites. I copy and paste and then change a few things. works like a charm most of the time. Here's my favorite: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
Sonia I never could program a site just in 2007 and in 2008 I made 3 sites. It takes time to learn but its worth it.
i love it sonia! i see you've written a few and just quickly scanned them and have to go back and read them individually! I love your style.......its so original and funky AND i love the retro kitchen backdrop -you're doing great girl! :-)))
Hey Liz! Thanks! And see, I'm replying to all my comments! This backdrop is a 1940's style reno that some guy did - got it off the internet. He gutted the old kitchen and made it "old" again!!! My dream kitchen!
For myself, eventually computers seem to make life easier but it's the getting there that is difficult. I'm a bit slow at understanding some things.
Isn't it funny though, if you actually take the time to "read instructions" and figure things out, it actually IS easy??!!!
Hi Bettina,
I always want to jump right in there and use an application and then get frustrated because I can't figure it out!!!! And then eventually, I FOLLOW SOME INSTRUCTIONS and it IS easy! I remember reading something in the textbook when I was taking the real estate course that said don't waste time trying to figure something out if you don't get it - just ASK someone who knows!! It sure applies here as well!!!
Sonia,
Mee too, I have trouble importing stuff to my blogs; I usually manage by accident.
Hi Terry,
Funny, I've never run across you in the office, but I've seen a lot of your posts! They're very good!
