Stokes was Sent From Heaven

I feel impelled to blog about a great human being -- Stokes Gramling.  About 6 years ago, the local Re/Max office ended it's relationship with Re/Max and merged with our AgentOwned Realty.  A most significant part of that merger was their IT guy --- Stokes Gramling.

Until Stokes appeared in our lives, each of us managers did the technology work in our offices.  Needless to say, all we did was keep the computers running  - if we didn't know what was wrong, we called a Technology company --- most of the time didn't get the same person twice.  Actually, this is how I learned as much as I know today is from having to do this --- Luckily, our son, Claude, is really good with computers -- he taught me a lot.

Stokes was employed by the Re/Max company and so, we had the opportunity to hire him.  What a wonderful thing we did was to hire Stokes.  At that time, we had 4 offices and now we have 15 ---- Stokes has been with us during this extreme growth period.  Not only is he very knowledgeable about computers, soft wares, virus protection,etc --- (you name it, he knows about it) , he is the most kind, gentle, warm, mellow, trustworthy, dependable, soft, patient, and thoughtful person whom I have ever met.

Stokes always has a smile for everyone.  He travels between these 15 offices taking care of all the office computers as well as personal computers for agents who bring them to the office.  Now, the normal person would "flip out" with so many people tugging at him all the time. But not, Stokes.  He never loses his cool (we don't know what he is really saying to himself) --- he just smiles and fixes the computers, updates the anti-virus, helps someone "get into" a program with which they are having difficulty.  And oh, yes, he helps everyone with their blackberries, too.
                                           
Stokes is also a great teacher --- he teaches classes to our agent/owners on a variety of topics: Microsoft Publisher, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, google documents, gmail, and social networking.

Stokes is also one of the first people to respond when someone has trouble in their lives. He is very compassionate and such a positive person.

To sum this man up, he is a saint!  I tell people all the time, that "Stokes was sent from heaven just for us".

I would like to dedicate this blog to Stokes Gramling.  Thank you, Stokes.
