Activities include:

-Temporary traffic signal installations (with a new signal at Frank Road)

-Temporary pavement widening


Project Information:

This project will reconstruct and widen Algonquin Road from IL Rte. 47 to Randall Road.

The roadway will be widened to include two travel lanes in each direction and new turns at the intersections.

The limits of the project are:
1150 ft. west of IL Rte. 47 to 800 ft. west of Randall Rd.

For a total length of: 4.80 miles

The current traffic on Algonquin Road is approximately 25,000 vehicles/day.

By 2020 it is expected that this number will be nearly 37,000 vehicles/day.

The scheduled completion date is June of 2008.

Ackman Road Extension

Start work - July 5, 2006

Earthwork and paving of Ackman Road Extension.

Earthwork and roadway reconstruction of Haligus Road.

Road Closure starting August 4th, 2006. Detour posted through September 7th, 2006.

Earthwork, roadway reconstruction and widening of Lakewood Road

Starting mid August, 2006

Final pavement surfacing: Spring of 2007

Landscaping, pavement marking, signing: Spring of 2007

Project completion: June of 2007

Chapel Hill Road and Bay Road Intersection

Start work - April 01, 2007

Underground (drainage) - thru May 15

Excavation - thru June 06, Paving - thru July 04

Landscaping, Traffic Signal and Pavement Markings - thru September 13

Project Completion - September 13, 2007

Streit Road Bridge Replacement

PROPOSED PROJECT SCHEDULE: Subject to variation due to weather or utility conflicts

Start work - April 1, 2007

Remove existing structure April 5 - 9, 2007

Construct new structure April 10 - May 31, 2007

Construct bridge approaches June 1 - July 5, 2007

Landscaping, guardrail, and misc. July 6 - 20, 2007

Project completion - July 20, 2007
