Rain, Rain, well I guess go away

By
Real Estate Agent with Prestige Properties

I was out showing homes all day in the rain.  It was miserable.  It always is when the weather is nasty.  I was so glad to get home and I was complaining out loud about how I was sick of 4 days of rain.  I sat down to eat and I turned on the news.  Suddenly I felt terrible.  All of those people fleeing their homes because of floods and I was complaining about getting a little wet.  No eye opening wisdom here just sharing my jolt back to reality.

One day I will learn to appreciate what I have before I complain.

And the other end of the spectrum is that we are still in a drought here in Atlanta... we need to fill our lakes.  Rain = good.

Todd - Something tells me you're well on your way. Go get dry and warm, feel better and say a few prayers for those who are less fortunate.

Hre in Atlanta, rain is good, we need the rain we have been in a drought for a couple of years now.  I crossed over the lake the other day, and I saw with my own eyes that the lake level still has not returned to normal levels.  We have been having rain since Wednesday, and it will continue through Saturday.

Todd, I recently did the same thing as showing in the rain is not up there with things I like to do but then it dawned on me on how lucky I was to be showing someone in the rain.  If they are looking in the rain you know they are motivated.  I do fill sorry for all those people flooding.  When we flood here at least it is warm.

I love to hold open houses when it rains. The people who come are serious buyers.  Rain is good.  Flooding and destruction is another story.

Todd...  I agree with Leolinda!  Anyway, what gets wet does dry out... I do feel bad for all of those people too.  But can't say that I haven't done the same thing you're describing.

I got a little chuckle at your scribbled "Blog" header. And it's hard not to complain when showing houses in the rain. I've been thoroughlyl soaked, all the way through, on more than one occasion. But you're right. We have no right to complain when others are losing their worldly posessions to flooding.

Yes, it is sad to see those who are having the floods.. but as far as rain goes... we get way more than our share here in BC... We do hope to get sun for a few goods weeks in the summer.... makes knocking on doors fun...

The rain keeps our Province nice and green though... one of the most beautiful places I have been... Come take a look someday, but bring your umbrella...
