Funny things happen when you are in the Real Estate business.  I guess when you have a broad group of people that you encounter on a daily basis, different opportunities really come your way.  One of my business associates had invited me to join a play and I ended up doing it.  I am now working with a great Director who is teaching me how to act and I will be playing a major role that was based on an old movie "Teahouse of the August Moon".

Never in my entire life imagined that I would be doing this kind of work and I am scared to think that I am really doing it.  I also learned that everyone in this play had many years of experience in acting and here I am, playing a role with zero experience.

Anyway, this play is scheduled to happen this April 17 thru April 26.  This is the time I am also preparing for our Family Spring Expo.  I just hope that I do a good job and take away a great experience from it.

Acting is truly a passion for people who dedicate their time and love for it.   In this play, I would have to cry at the last part of the scene and this is where the drama gets really heavy... If you are interested to watch this play,  go to Temecula Valley Theater and find the schedule for this show.  Your support will surely give back to the community of Temecula.

Thanks and don't forget... April 25, 2009 - Family Spring Expo....

Hi Marie,

Welcome to community theatre.  I'm part of the set construction and prop development crew for this/your production.  I've been working with TVP for a couple of years and they are a great group. You couldn't have gotten into a better community theatre group than TVP to start your 2nd career.  Oh, yes...you have been bitten by the theatre bug; and there is no cure; you will be back!

We work hard to build a set and create props that are as realistic as possible; at least from the audiences view.  They see an actor atop a broken stone wall.  You see him standing on a wooden box with a fake plastic rock façade.  But, we also build with the cast and their characters in mind.  We want you to have a sense of being in the setting and being your character.  It's part of the magic of live theatre.

Ignore all of those who wish you "good luck"; in theatre, it's "BREAK A LEG".
