So What Is The Problem With This Picture?

When I am driving I always like to know what is going on all around me.  Last Sunday I was on my way to putting balloons out for my open house and this is what I saw out of my rear view mirror.

Balloons in my rear view mirror

Then I turned around and this is what I saw.

 Balloons in the back seat

There are many things that a REALTOR(r) does when setting up for an open house and this is just one of them.  There are such things as advertising the open house, sending out invitations to a move up neighborhood and to possible buyers that we are working with, printing off handouts for open house guests, and we also invite neighbors to bring some friends over.  Remember your neighbors are not nosey they are a GREAT resource for getting your home sold.

I sure wish there was an easier way to put these things out.  Boy oh Boy do I hope one of them doesn't pop it could get a little loud.

Remember if you are looking for an agent in O'Fallon Missouri or anywhere in the St Charles County Missouri area to list and sell your home give Don Rogers a call at 314-954-6775 or send me an email at Don@DRogersHomes.com and we can begin the home selling process.  There are a lot of real estate agents the St Charles County area but none better to give you the proper information and help to get your home SOLD.

I remember once years ago I was driving down the highway and we had been to a circus the night before.  The kids left 2 balloons in the back of the vehicle and I hadnt even given them a second thought.  I opened my window a little and the 2 balloons came blowing up into the front of my car, right in front of me, scaring the crap out of me and blocking my view.  It shocked me to death and almost caused me to drive off the road.  It was almost like the airbag went off it was so surprising.

Robert,

I know that I am not suppose to be laughing but I can just imagine the look on your face.  Another good reason not to have them in the car with you.

Balloons are great...I had a similar experience, a bunch left the car, and did not want to fit back in on a very busy road in San Diego. I try to stick with flags now.

Simple things like putting out balloons can be very effective.  The trick is getting them into and out of your car. :)

Balloons are great. We also recently purchased some of those hanging flags (like they have at car lots) and achnored them around the yard. What I do not like about balloons is that they pop in the car if it is too hot :-)

Uh...this is why I prefer flags.

Well you have to show that you are having an open house. You got to do what you have to do to attract the clients attention. That is one way.

Good Luck

It at least makes for a happy picture if nothing else.

I see those same ballons in my mirror. The dangers we put our selves in. I tell you. It could be instant gun fire at any moment......LOL!!! I Love it. They do work!!

I filled my car with balloons for a party once and it looked just like yours.  It was really frightening not being able to see in the mirror.  I am glad I don't have to do it regularly like you!

We also have been doing balloons but are moving to the flags - should fit into the car better too. ~Rita

Hey Don, It's a good thing that Realtors are so full of hot air to keep them all inflated :) Rich

LOL @Rich, and Don next time either buy fewer balloons or put a blanket over them to keep them down.  Actually I like the excess....speaks volumes ;-)

Hey, why didn't you put them in the trunk? Could you really see out the back?

4:48pm • #14

The balloons I always weigh them down in the back of the car.  I have had that expeience with them blocking the rear window.  And how about they keep wandering up front ??

Lola,

All you have to do is pray for NO wind.  You think that you have them all neat in the car and they will come out real easy.  RRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHTTT!

Kim,

You are so right and it looks like there are a lot of folks that are using flags and maybe not the balloons.

Sharon,

They are a lot of fun and can bring people in to our open houses but they do keep us from seeing what is going on behind us when we are driving.

Rita,

I think that there are a lot of people moving to the flags.  One thing for sure , they are safer.

Norma,

Putting the balloons in the trunk would be a lot of fun when you open it.  You will have to be verwy, verwy careful.  And no I really couldn't see out the back window.

Susan,

It is like they have legs or a mind of their own when it comes to wandering up to the front seat.

Balloons are a good idea.  I end up giving many of them away to the kids that come witht the parents.

Robert . . . you must be very winded after preparing for that Open House.

William,

I have to drive around the block in some areas to check to make sure they are still up.  The kids get them before the open house is over.

Tom,

I am quite winded and so I don't do many open houses.  it takes time for this old man to recover.  ;-))

Looks pretty dangerous from a driving perspective Don. Be careful out there. Blow them up on site.

Jason,

I am thinking that you are getting ready to celebrate the birth of your new little one so balloons would be in order for the event...

Thank you sir for stopping in always a pleasure.

I am glad that you got a laugh and yes I did have them traveling up to the front seat for a visit.  It was like they kept coming up to give me a small kiss on the ear.

Gary,

Driving can be fun with a car full of balloons and you can't see what is going on around you.
