Additional Property Tax Exemptions for Senior Citizens in Fulton County*
If you are age 62 or older on or before January 1, and your net income does not exceed $10,000, you are eligible to apply for the $10,000 Statewide School Tax Exemption.
If you are age 65 or older on or before January 1:
- your adjusted gross income is less that $55,742 you are eligible to apply for an overage exemption
- Your annual household income less than $39,000 you are eligible to apply for the Homestead Freeze for Senior Citizens. The value of your residential property freeze is based on the previous year's value as long as the eligible senior occupies the residence.
- you are egilible to apply for the State Exemption. Those qualifying citizens would be exempted from all state property taxes. There are no income requirements.
If you are age 70 or older on or before January 1, your adjusted gross income is less than $55,742 you are eligible to apply for the Fulton County Full Value Exemption.
Tax relief is also offer to residents who are disabled based on income.
