Linda, the "tiny" holes of blue sky in this one between the clouds are amazing.

Hi Charles—I shot this late yesterday afternoon in a gale force wind... it was frigid (at least for me), but we didn't have any rain yesterday in my area. Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Debi—Thanks for stopping by... always a pleasure seeing you. If there hadn't been a gale force wind while I was shooting I would have appreciated the peacefulness of the landscape much more - LOL! Thanks and have a great week

Hi There LuLu:  You just have to love the variety of cloud formations and how they play with our imaginations.  Love the tree line-up too :-)

Hi GayGay—There's an infinite display of cloud formations which makes watching them so intriguing... never dull or the same! My poor brain is weary after a long day of talking to difficult lenders and trying to help people understand the basics of VA Eligibility, etc. I think I need to go out and look at the clouds to lighten my spirits - LOL. Great to see you. Have a wonderful week!

LuLu - Your photograph is wonderful and the trees running along the bottom of your photo really add contras. But I have to agree with Gary on his comment, the blue showing through the clouds make this photo.

Hey Vegas Bob—The blue showing through the clouds is why I named it as I did, i.e. Peek-a-boo Clouds.

Thank you for featurig me at CLOUDS AT ACTIVERAIN (clouds attached)! I look forward to posting at least one photo a week whether it's in Coulds at Activerain, Wordless Wednesday, or Speechless Sunday. Clouds is a fun, friendly and supportive group and it makes me work harder to get some great shots. Photography has become a passion... now if I could only find a way to get paid for it - LOL!

Thanks... doing a RAIN dance once again.

Hey Linda, I really love this picture of the clouds! I'm trying to remember which type of cloud this is? It's not cumulus. Is it nimbus or sirrus? Anyway, very lovely!

Hi Marian—I'm not a cloud identification expert, but I'm pretty sure these clouds are of the cumulus family... either an altocumulus or a stratocumulus.  I get these confused as I can only recall the difference between the two is altitude, but if I had to bet I'd say they were altocumulus. Cirrus are the feathery and streaked clouds we see in the upper regions of the atmosphere. Nimbus clouds are usually associated with thunderheads, but are a combination of nimbus and another cloud I don't recall right now.

So much form my cloud knowledge which is probably in error...LOL! Thanks for commenting. Have a great week!
