Mt. Pleasant - a Ideal Town

Well, what is there not to like about the Charleston Tri-County Area of South Carolina?

Personally, I cannot think of anything unless it would be the "no-seeums" (better known by some as gnats) that come around mostly in August. They are a nuisance.

The weather is unbelievable! Today, the sun is shining and the temperature is in the mid 70's.  There is a breeze which is soooooooo nice. I'm East of the Cooper in Mt. Pleasant. 

When I got up this morning, it was just soooo gorgeous.  Eliza (granddaughter) spent last night with Boyd & me.  We got up fixed a good breakfast of bacon & eggs --- couldn't wait to get outside.

Then, we just went outside and breathed deep breaths of that wonderful fresh air.  We are just 1 miles from the Atlantic ocean (the way the crow flies) and you can almost hear the ocean waves.  The birds are singing and busy making their nests.  We watched a blue jay break a branch of a crepe myrtle and fly away with it in his mouth.

There is a pond behind our home, so we walked down and watched fish jumping up in the air and watched the egrets coming and going.  Sometimes, we see pelicans, but not today.

As Eliza and I walk around the property, we notice the squirrels scanting around, the rabbits running as soon as they see us, see the horses eating their grass, and Eliza pointed out how much Granddad's trees were growing. (Boyd's has a wholesale tree farm).  Of course, the 4 dogs were following us around.

There is a glut of homes for sale in our market and not too many buyers.  But, hey, on a day like today, one can forget about all the problems of the world.
Today, in Mt. Pleasant, SC, I feel no problems.

Mt. Pleasant - a bedroom community of Charleston. Mt. Pleasant has one of the top ranked Recreation Departments in the state.  It is a very family oriented town --- a lot of young professionals live in our beautiful town --- we have great shopping, great restaurants, an abundance of churches (all types of religions),a hospital (soon to be 2), great schools, great golf courses, and soooooo close to the beach.

Thank you, God. I live in a beautiful place that has everything (except the good real estate market & that will come) and our family has their health.
