Below is an example of what a page peel looks like.  There are only 5 files required to have a PagePeel on your page.

This is the code that I use to include the Peel Advertisement and also remove the peel when the page is printed.

Check out the link in this frame. You can alter the link to any webpage you desire.

Tim, This is cool. I'll see if I can incorporate it into my site. Thanks for posting it!

David, As long as you can upload the files to your host and then add the code to your web pages, it is easy.   I have one file that I use for my headers, I placed the code there and then it appears on every page.  The only hard part is to create the JPG of what you want the Peeled down page to look like.

The post itself would not keep this coding that allows you to exclude portions of your webpage from printing.

<style type="text/css">
 @media print { .DONTPrint { display:none }}
</style>

<div class="DONTPrint">

<script src="PagePeel.js" language="javascript"></script>

</div>

Adding this Style and then creating a DIV around the items you do not want printed has worked for me.   On my websites when a page is printed, I use this to not print my menus.   Creates a cleaner page print for consumers.

OMG.. I love it, but what is the link?

10:10pm • #3

http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/20979/   Sorry the Peel covered part of it.   If you put your cursor over the "H" in Here you can click there.   Otherwise the Peel prevents the click.  Darn I did not know that.    LOL.   The Peel is still very nice.   Thanks for the question.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Because the JS (JavaScript) file controls the images and links, you could create a number of different page peels imagine   PagePeel_FreePreApproval.js   PagePeel_MarketAnaylsis.js  PagePeel_MoneyOffCoupon.js  PagePeel_HUDHomesforSale.js.  Check out this FREE Software.

Mike and Sheryl,   Thanks for your comment and also good luck in placing it on your site.   After I created the Picture (for the Peel) i had it in place in less than 5 minutes.   I hope it goes that well for you also.

Skye,   hope you enjoy it.    Maybe one day ActiveRain might permit us to use it here or on our Blogs.

Nice effect... too bad my current web template isn't compatible with javascript (irritating I know!)... what I need to do is stop using templates... I just haven't made the jump and haven't spent the time to learn code... I'm too busy!  I'm going to bookmark this because I know I'll use it later though...

really cool! :)
