Where Local And International Meet

Services for Real Estate Pros with Vidlisting.com

I read an article this morning about how minorities are now 1/3 of the US population and that Latinos are not only the fastest growing ethnic minority in the US but they now comprise 14% of the US population.

Wowsa...this pretty much sums up why we have focused our business as we have. The US recently became the third largest spanish speaking country in the world.  Over the long term, international will increasingly mean local and local is meaning international in more and more US communities.

We've previously discussed ways to increase your success at international prospecting (http://activerain.com/blogsview/98309/Five-Sure-Fire-Ways) .  The key question is how will these cultural shifts change your local and internet approaches to the real estate business?  Is technology a possible solution?

Thanks for highlighting this statistic! I read it earlier too.

I work in a very very diverse area, SoCal, and had the following to add...

First, America is a welcoming country and it is great to see people can still come here and be American as much as you or I.

Second there are big attitude differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants. First generation need the most marketing strategies since they have language barriers, often may have distrust in contracts and government from their previous home, and have less farmiliarity with how things work. 2nd and 3rd generations often resent being treated any different or on the flip side 'refind' their roots.

Thanks again for the post and thanks to EVERYONE out there who treats all Americans, nomatter what their background as Americans! Welcome those immigrants too! They are the ones to support our economy with the boomers retireing!

I know we (America) just past a mile stone in population growth. Which is huge. And most of the new growth is from immirgrants. The internet is a huge tool for us all to be using to get more leads. Lets face it Real Estate is lead generation. If you have no lead you have no business. This is why we are all here at activerain.com. We all want to have a huge internet business.

I have been useing Vflyers.com to get even more spots on real estate search engines. Plus our company (Keller Williams Realty) has just teamed up with Trulia.com. Now all our office listing are going there. We have been seeing a large increase in web hits. Trulia.com is telling us that 10,000 people a day are coming off their site to our agents sites. This just shows me that more and more people are buying and selling due to the internet.

Do you guys have any other suggestion to how we can get more internet exposure?
