God's beauty expressed through the Sun - The wonders of photography

On my drive back from Valley of Fire driving around the north shore of Lake Mead in the state of Nevada, I came across the sun setting.

Latley with my shooting I have started really looking for that perfect shot to express the view and scene at the time I am viewing it.

This sun set photograph that I took on my drive home turned out better than being there at the time. The color of the sun and the way that it is burning behind the mountains is breath-taking.

I took about 20 photographs of the sun setting and over 10 of them showed up beautiful, what are the chances? I think with age my eye for photography may be getting better, I may have not reached my peak of taking photographs.

Photographs like this really make me (HAPPY)!

Robert - that is truly stunning.  Is that the way you saw it, or did you use a filter?

Nice shot, Robert - again!  You must have a good lens to shoot right into the sun with almost no flares.
